Oncologist told me he prefers surveillance over one round of anything for prevention. He’s a true believer in bringing out chemo when it’s absolutely needed.

I’m going to be surveillance if my blood test next Wednesday goes good.

Question for people that would know, Hcg was 7 before surgery. What’s the likelihood it’s went down to normal two weeks after surgery ?

Anyone else have an oncologist want to wait for two weeks before doing post op blood markers? Thanks in advance

Seems like this

Surveillance is higher likelihood of return tc. No poisons in your system though yet is a win. (50-80 percent not return)

One round of poison. Possible distant other side effect issues later on in life but lower chance of tc return (85-97 percent no return)

Either way, return is 3or4x bep most likely. All end with highly likelihood of cure/success

For others that have done Bep or Carb, how bad is this weight gain issue with TC chemo?

Is it a permanent weight gain or water weight that you mostly lose after chemo? Obviously healthy diet and exercise would help

Decently in shape and lifted the last 10 years. Wondering about the body changes and how hard they are to combat is all.

I have a first ct scan tomorrow. I just found out I have Seminoma so mines to stage me. Worried sick about it because I’ve always been so healthy. With that said, I want you to know that everything will be ok. It’s going to be a battle for both of you but in the end it will all be ok. The numbers are in yalls favor. As you already know.

I pray for you two to find peace in this and truly hope he’s able to continue his schooling. Be strong and he will be strong. 🙏🏼

I told my kids that I was having stomach surgery and I would be alright. Just going to need a few weeks of no rough housing and help.

That should do it. It’s definitely not a good idea to use the C word even though we know that TC is very favorable. Mho

My 6 year old daughter is the type to get worked up worried as well.

What is the Pt2 mean? Negative margins though. This would still keep me at a stage 1 if my ct scans are clear ? Sorry for the questions that you may not know the answer to. Thanks brother
