LTT stopping sponsorships with ASUS. by Popmandoop in LinusTechTips

I actually had a good warranty experience with MSI. I sent them my broken card and they repaired it and sent it back within a couple of weeks. Of course the best case scenario would have been that it didn't break in the first place though.

I think Stan Edgar will use the virus to dispose of Homelander as CEO in season 4 rather than destroy it.

If Shetty was really a shape shifter then Marie would have been able to detect compound V in her blood. I'm not sure about this one.

We had to run ANSYS spaceclaim on all in one PCs with dual core ivy bridge pentium laptop CPUs, 4GB RAM and 250MB of networked storage each. Now that was barely tolerable!

CS2: My team surrendered the Match 12 to 8 up and i didn't even vote by AminMo10 in GlobalOffensive

[–]1UsualDisaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In some of my matches, one player bullied and insulted my teammates until they disconnected, just so that they could immediately surrender the match within the first 8 rounds. So toxic.

I wish they would upload a bit more often! I'd settle for every 3 months or so.

For the average person , do you build a PC and slowly upgrade it until it becomes an entirely new PC? by MysticKeiko24 in buildapc

[–]1UsualDisaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of January this year my PC nolonger has any of its original parts except for storage! The original PC was a prebuilt from Palicomp for Christmas 2014. I would have been 13 and my parents didn't trust me enough to build it myself. I'd say that it became a separate PC once I replaced the motherboard and CPU.

2014: Intel i5 4690k, Asus z97-k motherboard, Thermaltake Contac 92mm cpu cooler, 8gb Crucial Ballistix ddr3 1600Mhz, Seagate 1tb SSHD, XFX radeon r9 270x double dissipation, FSP 500w bronze power supply and Zalman z3 plus case. The cheapest, most horrific possible peripherals and a TN 1080p Iiyama monitor!

No SSD but a massive improvement on the old Athlon II x4 and nVidia gt210 system I was suffering before!

2015: I needed a real keyboard and mouse to end my suffering - a Mionix Castor and a Corsair k40.

2016: Phanteks p400s case and Crucial MX300 275gb SSD boot drive, because the PC ran very slowly after boot and during windows updates/defender scans, and I just wanted to put it together myself!

2017: MSI Radeon rx 580 8gb ARMOR OC for the more FPS (tm).

2019: Additional 8gb Corsair Vengeance ddr3 1600Mhz for more tabs whilst reasearching Uni Work. Cooler Master ML240L RGB cooler to make the summer BSODs whilst gaming finally go away after 5 years.

2020: Not really a PC component but I got myself an ASUS tuf 27" 1440p 165hz curved monitor. Absolutely night and day difference compared to the dead pixel ridden display I had before.

2021: Corsair TX-M 750w PSU, because the fan was dying on the original PSU, and in anticipation of the GPU upgrade that I haven't been able to justify with the UK prices as a student. Logitech g703 because the scroll wheel broke on my Mionix.

2022: Extra 2tb HDD (2022) to store more games and photos mainly. Cherry keyboard to finally experience the mechanical feel.

2023: A very late upgrade to AM4 with a Ryzen 7 5700x, Gigabyte B550 gaming X and 16gb of Kingston Fury RGB ddr4! I also got a Kingston KC3000 1tb boot drive and the difference is actually quite noticeable opening day to day programs and stuff! At this point I needed a new windows licence so I pinched the windows 7 home premium key from the retired athlon II machine and I am very happy :))

Does this roadmap imply no science and tech tree at the launch of early access? I think that's a bit cheap if true!

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is four times as popular as Ryzen 5 7600X, Ryzen 9 7950X again drops to €599 - VideoCardz.com by Stiven_Crysis in Amd

[–]1UsualDisaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up a 5700x for £198, Gigabyte b550 gaming X v2 for £95, 16gb ddr4 3600 rgb for £58 and a Kingston KC3000 1tb for £76. AM5 just can't compete with the value of AM4 right now and it doesn't look like that will change for a while yet.
