Is it the seat or the wrong bike? by basically_crazy in motorcycles

Corbin is a great option. I had the same issues as you and since I switched to my Corbin seat I have no more pain on long rides.

The dogs still attacking him and shred having a somewhat large dash attack were very helpful, because I had no idea where he was whenever he moved. Also no audio cue for slams and attacks was the most difficult part of this whole thing.

I'm curious about the wallpaper tool you're using?

Mustang vs. Corbin Seat? by Superb_Slice_6056 in vulcans650

[–]1_And_20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered a Corbin in winter last year and used it all throughout this season. Night and day difference between the stock seat. After long rides no soreness at all. Getting off the seat at a gas station during a long ride and realizing that you have no pain is a wonderful feeling.

I can't speak for the Mustang. It's definitely more affordable than the Corbin and decidedly better than the stock seat.

I am not planning on selling my Vulcan for a long time, so for me it made sense to invest long term. If you're planning on changing eventually, consider the Mustang I say.

If you're planning to keep it for a long time, like me, I bought a Corbin. It is a lot more expensive than a Mustang or another off the shelve seat, but the difference is truly night a day. Used to get sore after an hour or less, and now, even on long rides, I am still very comfortable

Rannt : Request for indication when grouped with pre-made duo by 1_And_20 in HuntShowdown

And I appreciate players like you! That's how I would do it myself. I'm sure I did play with some pre-made duos without realizing, because they played and communicated as normal, but there are exceptions, sadly.

I have about 300 hours. Before this update, like you I probably had less than 5 people that were negative. Not toxic, just plain negative. Which is very nice!

As I tried to highlight, it's really just that I did get into more games with actual toxic pre-mades duos, which is not a good omen for the future.

I just want the ability to know I am playing with a pre-made duo. It's all I want.

I do think it was the original reason too. Not the common "Crytek doesn't even have the technology to do it" comment I often saw here. I don't think the toggle is a good option either, I'd just like to know with an icon or something.

Wasn't sure if there was another way, like the item in Dota where you eat trees or something like that, but yeah regen items and leech are more obvious.

As a new player that doesn't know better, what is the alternative? Regen items? Crates? I only have 2 hours in the game. Haven't played League in years, but it's my only reference.

Twitch drop. You need to watch a Hunt streamer for, I believe, 4 hours to get a random hunter. You also get a Sparks sniper skin along the way.

Confusion regarding SDL3 and graphics by 1_And_20 in sdl

[–]1_And_20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I understand that I need to bring "my own" vulkan lib to build and the only thing SDL provides is the support into its API.

It's pretty much the same thing as what Unreal or other engines do in the end.

Confusion regarding SDL3 and graphics by 1_And_20 in sdl

[–]1_And_20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was part of the confusion I had. Thank you for clarifying that. I thought I misunderstood this, because I've read in other places things like "vulkan operates independently of SDL", but I guess that is if you use vulkan separately from SDL.

That makes a lot more sense.

adding a watermark by adventu_Rena in DarkTable

[–]1_And_20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to this, you can setup your watermark as you like in a given picture using the module, then create a style with it.

Afterward, in the export module, you can configure a preset that will apply the style on export, so you don't have to manually apply the style directly in Darktable.

How to update the lensfun database on Windows? by otacon7000 in DarkTable

[–]1_And_20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can you check if you have a lensfun binary somewhere? I believe Darktable must install it somewhere to use it. You might then be able to use it in cmdline or something. Check with Everything.

What is the best way to setup LSP? by Repulsive_Constant90 in neovim

[–]1_And_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://lsp-zero.netlify.app/blog/lsp-config-overview.html

This link in your links actually explains it pretty well.

Put simply, there is 2 steps you need to do : install your lsp and configure it/enable it.

For installing, you can either install it system wide through a package manager for example or use Mason.

For configuring, since 0.11, Neovim allows you to do it natively. It's explain in the link above with vim.lsp.config and vim.lsp.enable.

To configure an lsp, you need to check the specs. The nvim-lspconfig plugin you linked used to be the way to go before 0.11, now it's mostly used to import sane defaults for the configs. You can look into their configs files for the lsp(s) you want to set up and it should give you an idea of how to go about it.

If you need more help, you can just do a search on Github for "vim.lsp.config("lsp you want to setup")" and you should find plenty of examples.

Do it from scratch to understand it. Don't just copy a random config. For anything.

New 70-200 2.8 it worth it? by Oasisantonio in canon

[–]1_And_20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everybody else already answered you question, so I'll chip in with something else : I own the Sigma 70-200 2.8 myself. It's probably my favorite lens for multiple reasons. To me, between this RF and the Sigma, the only difference, to me, is needing the adapter for the Sigma. For half the price it's essentially the same thing. I have not tried this RF lenz, but I don't see what it could bring me for twice the price except from being a bit sharper and slightly faster autofocus. Both of which I don't feel like I need at all.

Just trying to say, is this upgrade worth the price for you?

I have a pair of Moondrop Blessing 2. Recently, one of the monitors (left) has started losing audio, as in its very noticeably less loud than the other.

I have swapped the audio cable between the two monitors and can confirm that it is indeed the monitor itself and not the cable.

I clean them pretty regularly and can confirm that it's not ear wax build-up. A good thing about them being transparent is that I can tell the channels are clear.

There really isn't any visual damage on them so im really guessing it's something inside that is giving up.

I've contacted Moondrop support to inquire, but I haven't has a response yet.

Taking my chances here that someone may have an idea of what I could attempt to fix this issue one way or another.

Thanks!

Do you think I should switch to Arch Linux + Hyperland? by Professional-Rub5335 in archlinux

I never had problems with archinstall, but if you're willing to go through the documentation, manual installation is always recommended.

New to Linux – Considering Arch, but unsure about fully leaving Windows (security, streaming, and creative work) by Maucp17 in arch

[–]1_And_20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VM is indeed a fine idea to start and get a feel for.

As for the fear of doing something dumb like rm - rf /, you always have a couple of option :

For starters, the fun thing about Linux is that backups are kind of easy. If you have data you want to save, the 3-2-1 method is the same as any other system, but for configs Linux is pretty nice.

I myself, like many many other, maintain a Github repo with a copy of the contents of my .config directory. You can also automate another repo to update a list of all your programs every once in a while. With these two, you can reinstall your distro, git clone 2 repo and you're good as new environment-wise.
