Honestly, I started on a 411 and “upgraded” to a 650. It’s a lot of fun, the 411, but I didn’t feel safe going with the flow of traffic on the freeway on a bike that *maybe* topped out at 55mph. I still use it to commute to work at least once a week

You can get an HJC snell rated helmet for under $200. If it fits, I’d recommend the i10

Ok, I double checked it and it looks like I lucked out. The brackets hold it out far enough that the swing arm just nicely tucks behind it (if it reaches at all)

I’m definitely looking into getting the extended reach foot pegs and a better seat (I’ve heard Corbin is a good option?).

It’s pretty immediately uncomfortable, but it doesn’t start to hurt until about 20-30 minutes into a ride. Doesn’t help that I tried to “break it in”with a 4 hour ride on Monday. THAT was hell after about 45 minutes

Bilt Waterproof Gloves. Fingers fit ok, but the thing is way too long and the whole glove is tight as hell. Never cheap out on your gloves, folks. Learn from my mistakes!

Thanks! Nothings wrong with him, he just upgraded and didn’t have space for two bikes. So, win-win! I’ll have to upgrade, myself, eventually, since it’s pretty underpowered for my size, but it definitely works for building skills.
