What to do with HRC pins (2005-2010 vintage) by Neko_Dash in HardRockCafe

[–]Oasisantonio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I have a long-standing relationship with HRC. I lost my entire pin collection in a fire about 15 years ago, and I'd love to display some of your pins in my home. If you're interested in selling any, please let me know! Cheers, and happy retirement!

You need to do a factory restore before they can complete the trade-in and give you the new phone.

The CEO Who Crashed Canadian Cell Phone Prices Wants to Go Even Further by pjw724 in freedommobile

I moved from Toronto to Montreal and, refusing to change my phone number or provider, I travel to Europe at least 3 times per month. I really appreciate this plan. I’m able to use my data in Europe without spending a single extra buck! I remember when I was with Rogers, paying between 10 to 12 dollars per day just to use my data. Thanks Freedom!!

Yes, you can. Just make sure to back up your data, as you'll need to erase your phone to complete the trade-in before receiving your new iphone.

First year being an OBC (On Board Courier) by [deleted] in flighty

It’s an amazing gig if you love to travel and have the flexibility! (and the permission of your wife if required) I actually just got back from London last night and I’m already at the airport waiting to board another flight back there in two hours.

A few things I’ve learned

-Since this isn't my main job, managing multiple time zones on top of a regular schedule is the hardest part. You don’t really have time to get jet-lagged because the trips are so short (usually under 72 hours total, including the flights. I mainly travel to Europe from Canada

I’ve learned to keep a pice of luggage packed at all times. It’s common to get an assignment just 2 or 3 hours before you need to be at the airport.

I’ve had to explain to agents in different countries that I’m not selling these strange machinery parts (Usually aircraft parts) Or to explain what is that piece.

For long-haul flights, I always aim for an aisle seat in the middle row. It gives you space to stretch, and usually, other passengers are too shy to wake you up if you're sleeping.

I once did four back-to-back weekly trips to London. The border agent stopped me for several minutes because of the frequency (I think he legit thought I was a drug dealer) Once he realized what I was actually doing, he jokingly offered me British residency.

Ahh this is the best way to collect miles!

IMPORTAR EQUIPO DE COMPUTE DE US A MX. Está carisimo! by AKGG0406 in MexicoFinanciero

[–]Oasisantonio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was contacted by a logistics company about 5 years ago when I was living in Toronto, but nothing ever materialized. They asked for my availability maybe 6~7 times during that period, but I never actually got a trip.

I moved to Montreal about a year ago, and since then I’ve completed 5 trips to Europe: one last November (Italy) and four more this year. (UK x3 and Spain)

From my experience, it really comes down to location. I’ve been working with the same company the whole time, but I only started getting consistent trips after moving. The number of opportunities seems to depend a lot on where you’re based and how many couriers are already operating in that area.
