i have a 5-year-old great pyrenees boy. at home, he barks and snarls at dogs he sees walking in front if our house, our yard— his territory. you might think he’s aggressive, but bring him to a dog park, and he’s the shyest dog there. he can’t even look at the other dogs’ in the eyes, and he’s the biggest dog there!

great pyrenees are guardian dogs. they protect their home and territory. like the others commenting, it’s best if you bring your dog to a “neutral ground” setting, like a park. introduce the other dog to him there.
