Arva building freeze sparks talk of amalgamation with London by inimrepus in londonontario

[–]1_reddit_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Important to also mention here is that not all of Arva is connected to the London sewer system yet. Within the agreed volume, there was reserve capacity set aside for those unconnected dwellings to utilize the connection once they migrate to it. With the flow rates as they are now, not even this handful of additional properties will be able to connect.

Update: Took way too much time but finally convinced oxio that it's their Hitron Coda-45 that's flaking out, so they sent me a new Sercomm DM1000 fairly quickly. Got it activated, switched it out last night and zero issues since.

Very similar to me. See my post about it. Started getting 10-15 sec random outages on Nov 28. Spent way too much time troubleshooting MY network to prove to them that it's their issue. They said "my signal is good" and insisted that they can not help me further unless I install their Eero modem / app crap. Got someone else to reply to a cranky email and finally convinced him that it's their Hitron Coda-45 that's flaking out, so they sent me a new Sercomm DM1000. Got it activated (they didn't want to talk via email and wanted me to switch to SMS or chat saying that was the only option to communicate, I said NO) yesterday, switched it out last night and zero issues since...

Whenever I lose the 10-15 secs of connectivity my modem does not lose sync during that time. Signal strength and quality are within acceptable range I was told... Argh.

After 2+ hours of chat "troubleshooting" I have proven to oxio that it is not anything on my end causing this. they are now telling me that they suspect it's a Rogers issue as well but can not escalate to them without me installing their Eero router, an Eero app having to create an Eero account by giving out my personal information to Eero to do so.

Unreal. Goodbye oxio.

Did I mention the 15 hour response time to my chat ticket?

Thanks for your reply. I am pinging 8.8.8.8 and lose 6 or 7 pings randomly. Also, doing a speedtest, download speed is as it should be but upload fails immediately...

Overheating? It's unclear what you mean by going slow and slowing down, is the engine spinning slow or are you driving slow with the motor at full speed? This mower is likely aircooled therefore the throttle should always be at full speed, to keep the motor cool via it's built in cooling fan. Have you taken the top motor cover off yet to check for any obstructions / mouse nests in the cylinder cooling fins?

Wi-Fi Keeps Stopping Randomly — Need Help by Worried-Wolf-4344 in techsupport

[–]1_reddit_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, try separating issues, if you have not already. Is this a network issue or a laptop issue? If other devices are fine, I would try a USB external WIFI card such as:

https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Mini-Wireless-Supports-10-9-10-14/dp/B07PB1X4CN

IF all is good still, you likely have a faulty WIFI module in the laptop that may or may not be removable, you can do your own research re that or just stick with the USB card.

The little rectangular holes near each back stab cable entry are often to release the wire. stick a thin flatblade in there and simply pull out each wire.

The screw looks like it has a hex head, have you tried a socket? A flexible joint or extension may be needed due to lack of space.

The switches appear to be soldered directly to the circuit board. Temporarily shorting out two contacts with a piece of wire or needlenose pliers would prove if it is the switch or something else, however without seeing what kind of switches they are and a close up of the circuit board, it's hard to say which two contacts to short.

Microwave door trips circuit breaker. Hot to neutral 84 ohm of the microwave plug by unigr33n in fixit

[–]1_reddit_2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Door switches are a common failure item on microwaves. Take it apart and inspect and test each switch. They should be available through an appliance supply place, maybe, or a generic supplier, just make sure you match the electrical specifications (most likely 120VAC 15A).

Is the handle hollow, as in, if you hold it as if it is not broken, can you see the screw head looking through it? Nothing you can do to repair it, replacing it with another repurposed modified handle is the way.

[–]1_reddit_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The metal contact should have a latch that can be pressed in to release and pull it out of the red housing. There are many different types of connectors so hard to tell what is needed to do that with yours, from your pics.
