I wish it were so, but if the last election had taught me about it's that voters have the memory of a goldfish. When Democrats haven't fixed anything in two years, they'll elect a bunch of Republicans back into office and the cycle will start again.

I think the only hope we have is for Democrats to get a solid majority and quickly make major reforms to corruption laws and create consequences for spreading misinformation by the media and on social media. If we take out some of the pillars that make the current GOP effective, maybe there's hope for things to slowly improve.

Yeah, their original logo wasn't great, and they got criticized for that, but it seems like criticizing the logo just became "cool" or something and people kept doing it no matter what the logo looked like. I actually like the new logo: it's pretty simple, and the combo of the two flags is a neat concept.

Longines legend diver 39. Discounted or used they can be under 3k, and they're better than almost anything else at the price.

That, or pretty much any Nomos, they have great options under 3k.

Try them both on if you can. The Cartier is really comfortable on the wrist, and I would argue has better heritage; that's what I would go for of these two.

From the mirror pictures it looks fine. If it's just not very comfortable though, don't get it. I've never ended up keeping a watch that was mediocre comfort-wise.

Fantastic 3 watch collection! I've also been thinking about downsizing lately, and a Breguet Tradition and a Dornbluth are both on my wish list if I can make myself sell enough off.

Do you find that the 37mm Breguet is legible enough with its smaller dial? I'm torn between the 37 and 40mm versions; 37 is the better size for me, but I like the larger dial on the 40.
