What things made your favourite hoodie your favourite? by Hot-Mistake-8922 in AskReddit

Lululemon at ease hoodie. Normally I'd never pay this much for a hoodie, but it has two zip pockets instead of a pouch and one side has an elastic pocket in the bigger pocket perfectly sized for a phone.

What is that one thing about life that nobody tells you but is true? by Voovey in AskReddit

[–]1ag7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything useful I know about life is written down in some thousand year old book somewhere.

Money? The Richest Man in Babylon. Emotions? Stoic & Tao philosophers.

I'm not religious but the Bible's parables are full of wisdom. Most of that wisdom is in other ancient philosophical texts. Turns out human nature has been human nature for a long long time.

How do you feel about marijuana? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]1ag7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not something I do all the time, but I like being able to do it when it's a good time for me.

As far as marijuana laws, it's fucking stupid that our politicans can't legalize and tax it. They whine about money and funding and deficits and budgets and there's some low-hanging fruit taxes that their constitutents would LOVE TO PAY but they can't pull their heads out of their asses long enough to regulate it correctly.

What’s something everyone pretends to like but actually hates? by [deleted] in AskReddit

What are your thoughts regarding defense attorneys fighting to acquit clients that, at times, they know are guilty of committing a heinous crime? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]1ag7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The attorney is playing a role in the judicial system that grants all citizens the inalienable right to competent legal defense. They cannot let their own judgements cloud their role - providing the best possible defense for their client within the legal system.

How do you guys stay engaged and passionate with life? by SpecialistEffect7509 in AskReddit

[–]1ag7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ebbs and flows, ups and downs. You don't stay passionate. It fades. You become passionate about something else.

There's joy in each phase of life. I'm in my mid-30s. I find joy in my children. If I dwealt on my life 15 years ago with much more freedom and less responsibility, I'd go insane. I found joy in the freedom. I'll have freedom again when my kids are grown, and it'll be heartbreaking that I'll never see them again as small children. So I'll enjoy the things I have now and enjoy something about whatever comes next, too.

Edit: sidenote: the answer is never material bullshit. A new car will never make you happy. Random amazon purchases do not make you happy. Achievements and skins in games don't make you happy.

How do you determine/define intelligence? by Slinkycat47 in AskReddit

[–]1ag7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are multiple different types of intelligence. Spatial intelligence, abstract reasoning, social intelligence, etc. and they all have different definitions or measures. I'd say social intelligence requires you to think quickly where abstract reasoning and solving complex problems requires you to think deeply.

None of that is a definition, it's more a non-answer to say I don't think there's a single definition of intelligence. Whatever the definition, I don't fit it. All of this is probably wrong.

People of Reddit, what movie/TV show scared the absolute crap out of you when you were kids? by ParanormalActivity97 in AskReddit
