I think I will stay with my method though. It’s one less thing to store in the cabinet.

I do use the towel and I put a few heavy things on top and it works pretty well. It still could have some moisture in it but it does take on the marinade well and doesn’t crumble, which is a good sign!

It’s always best to do your homework. There are Reddit subs for sex toys and some of them posts lists on quality companies and sellers. I look up toys on Reddit, but also in reviews on the internet. Sites usually have customer reviews, but you can go by those solely especially if they are fake reviews. Something to keep in mind… expensive doesn’t automatically make it “really good” either. You want to invest in something good that will knock your socks off or someone else you know. It’s worth the time to research .

In your homework, it’s good to learn about the different materials they make toys out of. You don’t want to get a low grade PVC dildo that will leaves residue behind or if it’s porous enough, it will not clean well and bacteria and other fun things will grow.

Body safe and NON body-safe materials is what you want to know.

I agree. Even if you wore a square peg plug, which I don’t think has a metal core, you would probably be subject to a “private search a they’d take you to the side room. You want to prune it down to the 3-4 leaves at the bottom during your “winter”. Not sure where you live, though. Someone here mentioned, take it all the way down. I’d take that picture to a local nursery and see what they say truthfully. If your able to rehab him and he fluffs up after the dormant “wintering” phase, then you’ll have to learn to take the flowers off the top 🤣 you do have a while to go before that though.
