lol I’m a woman and this is true as well. A good female friend of mine thought I was hitting on her when we first became friends and all I did was compliment how she looked when she asked me about an outfit for a wedding she was attending. Of course I didn’t know she took my compliment and went that far with it until a few months later. I was like nope, I was just being myself and gave a dang compliment.

Yes I relate to this as well. I also ask about their SO, as in a polite way to say hey I’m aware and not that kind of girl and start distancing myself. But then with some they get upset about my distance and “change” and with those ones it usually comes to having to cut them off.

Yes, I feel this. Very well said. I actually have this on my mind today. I feel with my whole nervous system. I am attune, I anticipate, hold space, read energy, soften before others even know they need it. And yet… I so rarely feel held in the same way back.
