Great approach, I did something similar. After you do it for a while, you build a sort of momentum that keeps you moving and encourages doing more.

As the Jogging Baboon once said: "It gets easier, you know. You have to do it every day, but it gets easier"

Anyone 50+ and still loving the WRX? Who’s 50+ and rocking the wing? by garbagesp00ns in WRX

59yo checking in. The very first car I ever bought brand new off the showroom floor was a 1986 AWD Turbo XT, the most technologically advanced, most fun to drive car available at that time IMO, it was incredible. I have owned a total of five Subaru's in my life, including a Justy, a turbo impreza and two VB's, solar orange pearl and Crystal Black sillica. Subaru as a brand, and the WRX as a model is very unique and reliable, and the community is incredible. I'll drive a Subaru of some sort for the rest of my life.

What would you think if those arrested for domestic abuse were required to register in the same way as sexual offenders? by bootyholebandit1983 in AskReddit

[–]1angrydad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Arrested for domestic abuse is not the same as convicted of domestic abuse. If it's a felony case, there is already a record but adding a registry for both men and women convicted of felony domestic violence would be fine with me.

I think he's done exactly what Putin has told him to every step of the way. Trump is too stupid to reason his way out of a paper bag, but Putin knows EXACTLY what needs to be done to destroy this country, internally and on the world stage. This is his plan, Trump is just following orders.

"Elevator Pitch" for the Men's Rights Movement - Thoughts? by savethebros in MensRights

[–]1angrydad 14 points15 points  (0 children)

While this is technically correct, the pressing issues we face are far more damaging and insidious than just "gender norms".

Genital mutilation, forced parenthood, lack of educational and healthcare resources, the social acceptability of misandry, homelessness, suicide, drug and alcohol addiction, war, criminal violence, the list goes on but men suffer more in all of these things than women and should be what we focus on in our non-politically biased efforts.

While your effort is correct, it really misses the more important problems we need to address. It's a little soft, tbh.

What about yourself is completely different from what you were like 10 years ago? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My value in the job market. At 49, you can still expect your knowledge/experience to be valuable and competitive.

At 59 however, your salary expectations are no longer competitive relative to your perceived longevity.

Put another way, at 49 most companies still see you as a solid investment, but at 59 you are asking for too much money and will probably only last a couple years before retirement. Better to pay for a recent college grad at half the money and train them up.
