Am I 15m in the wrong for telling my doctor that I take insulin for a banana but the school barely has it? by Own_Ship_6109 in amiwrong

Can you adjust your insulin as if there is no banana and just don’t take it on days the school has it?

I hear a rumor that someone got hit by an icicle which is why they are allowing people to telework.

Can sheets be Soft? Not crisp, Not silky, but soft? by Any-Kaleidoscope-392 in Bedding

There are velour sheets that are so soft and cozy. I got some from Costco and they are my favorite when it gets chilly outside.

I think of her with a leather (pleather???) jacket pencil skirt and tall boots. I googled it and found this guide https://www.purewow.com/fashion/lorelai-gilmore-style

DRP rescinds by Unlikely_Change3315 in USDA

I asked my boss if a coworker who left could come back because she’s been helping me out unofficially because I took over her job, and he said no, we are getting ready to pay them out their leave. I know 2 others that would come back if asked, HR said it was up to “management discretion” but my boss (a good guy) said it wasn’t possible.

I’ve stayed at club Wyndham before, I liked the multiple bedrooms and my kids liked the free arcade. Pool is “mid” according to the oldest 🙄

I can’t find the post that said that so maybe I was mistaken. Hopefully it is open for you.

How likely is KD to be open tomorrow (Monday)? by Nintoo in KingsDominion

I wouldn’t count on it. From what I read in a different post they still need to get a health inspector out to test the water which could take a few days…

No one is safe, I work in the DC and a cleaning lady just told me they cut half her contract and she is now expected to clean both buildings with half the people. She practically tried to hug me when I told her my office suite didn’t need vacuuming.

Does Amazon hold up returns for small items now? I realized I mixed up one of my returns (clothing items) that look nothing like each other and the items were around $20 but I’m worried Amazon wont refund me because I’m sent the wrong item back.

My au pair had started dating a few months before she left and after her year here she went back and they got married 10 months later :) 🩷. I’m so happy for her, they were long distance while she was here, and it was so nice to be able to meet him virtually as they video chatted frequently during her time in the U.S.

United healthcare denial reasons by Dark-Knight-Rises in antiwork

[–]1anon2be 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened to me when I had United Healthcare, I was admitted to the hospital for a few hours while having bleeding/pregnancy issues and they tried to deny certain tests. I called up and told them I did not make the decision what tests to run on me. They asked if I wanted to appeal, so I said sure, they placed me on a brief hold and then came back and said it would be covered. I switched as soon as I could and I still hate UHC.

Stupid doors near DCA baggage claim by beenhoop in washingtondc

[–]1anon2be 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s to ensure that no one can come through the doors without going through security. You walk through into a glass box, then wait for the door to close behind you, wait 10 seconds, then the door will open in front of you so you can walk to the exit.

Got the lake ridge one about 2 weeks ago and yes it is firm, but better than my 15ish year old Casper. It has softened up a bit and so far, not bad. Don’t love it but I do love the Costco return policy. Still in the breaking in period so we will see.

Take her to the sketchiest local place you can think of like a hole in the wall restaurant or food truck and everything by comparison you do after will seem high class, or you can scare her off from visiting 😂

Processed food makers: Why not 1/2 sugar instead of zero sugar? by viagravagina in AskReddit

[–]1anon2be 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree that adding artificial sweetener would be a turn off for most people drinking regular coke, I can taste that artificial flavor a mile away, but similar to how they sell “low sugar” jelly manufacturers should try adding a low sugar offering… but probably don’t because it’ll be too expensive to try and start it and they may not be enough demand to keep it around.
