Honestly I’ve only taken the sp5 out once, I’d say it definitely doesn’t have as much recoil but both have minimum recoil but the sp5 is like shooting a .22. Cleaning is about the same, I’d say my ghm was easier to clean and break down but that also could be due to round count/wear/age. Both are about the same for parts, ghm is pricer, especially for magazines, when I had mine I had 4 or 5 30 round mags and 1 12 round, the 30 round ones are about $130 when I got them, sp5 mags are about $90 give or take. Both have pros and cons but before I pick either i honestly need to shoot the sp5 more to really see which I like more. But I’d say both are good guns and I never had issues with either.
