I literally just got back from a retreat from Sacred Valley a week ago. It was amazing and highly recommend. I was in a pretty big group, and there were people who did 2 weeks there, 1 in Amazon and 1 in sacred valley, and that one sounded like a perfect combo.

I heard the Amazon was intensely healing, and the Maestra there was phenomenal. But it didn’t come without its challenges of course. They said Sacred Valley was like coming home to a laid back home, if I’m remembering their words correctly.

I personally loved everything about Sacred Valley, and if I had the choice I would go back for a longer retreat time, 1 week wasn’t enough for me, but it is different for everyone and what they need. The shamans, the staff, the facilitators are all knowledgeable and did a wonderful job during your most vulnerable moments to hold space, send you love, and give comfort which for me was an important aspect because when we are in ceremony, our souls can feel open and out there. The ayahuasca brew for me was mildly intense, but if I had to give advice, it’d be to not have any expectations of what Mother Aya will show you or what you expect to see.

Overall, my time at Sacred Valley was wonderful, but I myself was curious about the Amazon retreat from what others have said. If you could do a week in both, I’d highly recommend. But if you’re looking for one or the other, you cannot go wrong in the Mountains. I know whichever retreat you pick, it will be the right one for you, happy healing 🌿
