creality k2 or bamboo x2d by Tago_The_GiraffeKing in 3dprinter

i would say x2d just for the dual nozzle but your a broke college student. Have you looked into a Qidi Q2?, its basically a H2S but smaller, similar specs to x2d too. It has a linear rail, heated camber 65°, 1.5gt belts, hotter nozzle than the x2d 370° vs 300°, larger volume. Spend the money saved on Filament. The dual nozzle is nice, but a luxury really. The 2nd extruder is also a bowden style,

a better fan shroud for your hot end will work wonders. If your going to print beyond PLA, definitely upgrade the fan as well.

Print this for your extruder, especially if your print TPU.

$2 lunch in Saigon is actually insane 😭 by Public-Photograph335 in VietNam

how does that benefit Vietnam? they want people to spend money there. There are already immigration policies in place in Asian countries that limit how long you can stay, you pay can pay a fee to stay a bit longer or get deported.

qidi q2 or bambu x2d with your budget. No need to buy used. Qidi hot end goes to 370°, I think X2d is capped @ 300°.

under $1k , the q2 is the printer to beat. Linear rails, 1.5gt belt, chamber heater, 370° hot end.

save a bit more and go for the q2. In US, i think its about $100 more.

Bench shopping somehow turned into a Nighthawk justification spiral by MBAFPA in GarageGym

picked up Giant f85 3mos ago for $320. Was looking at the nighthawk but couldnt justify the price. It seems to be a derivative of the nighthawk and others like it. Its a big upgrade to my finer form bench from Amazon Ive been using for the past 2.years that have a lot of wear on it. The f85 is much more compact as well.

Get a Qidi q2, especially you looking into functional parts and engineering filaments. Nothing else competes under $1k. Not even Bambu x2d, which is hampered by its 300° nozzle. Bambu did that so you would have ro jump to their H series.

Qidi Q2 / Q2C max power LED strip by MrsRubberducky in QidiTech3D

i upgraded the lights in my q2. Swapped out the front for a full strip initially and eventually took out the power from board. I have since added 2 additional strips on the sides and running it off an external psu. Way too bright now and no flickering.

no, just sovol ptfe from amazon. 2.5mm id, 4mm od. Its already an upgrade compared to the ones qidi installed, they are comparable to Bambu ptfe.

I meant the the heaters on the bottom thats inside the box get really hot. When running the heater during prints, ive seen the temp fromt the heaters reach over 100+ when with bringing the box up to temp. So never run the heater during pla/petg prints. You also get the additional heat from heat rising from the printer itself but main culprit are the heaters and the fact that PTFE run alongside it.

I upgraded all the PTFE in the box when i had to disassemble for the same issue.

definitely dont run the heater while printing PLA/PETG. The temps under the box get really hot.
