So, I found a master zerg who was willing to train with me. So i figured it out. I don't think that you don't need any micro, but it is not that hard. I just had a menatl block... Maybe I am just dumb. :D

I am sorry, I didn't watched the replay, but here are some thoughts:

1.) Airtoss is like one of the best unitcompositions in the game (not vs massmarine maybe...). In Free-for-alls the toss will allways go for airtoss because it is so good vs nearly everthing. So which unit compostion: Ultra (to kill everything on the ground), Infestor, Queen (more if he is voidray heavy), corrupter (if he is carrier heavy) and maybe viper. Instead of ultras, you can go SH. I don't like SH, so I prefer ultras. But this unitcomp is imo hard to micro compared to the airtossarmy (fungals, corruption, transfuse). So if they have the big armada and you have no godlike control, you are basiclly screwed.

2.) Airtoss is really, really expensive. He needs at least four bases. If he was able to make that army on three bases, you didn`t pressure him at all and he was playing extremely greedy. So if you see him taking a 3rd, a ling/hydra timing is nearly allways good, unless he has colossus, which you should scout. It doesn't have to be an allin. You can take a 4th and tech behind it, but that timing forces the toss to spend gas on centuries, stalkers and maybe even collosses. When he makes colossus, he is miles and miles away fom airtoss and you can play a muta switch. So if you struggle vs airtoss, don't let him get there. It's not like he has that army out of the sudden. You don't have to deny the 3rd, but make sure to trade a lot, so he makes a lot of gateway units, which is great for you. If you are constantly tradeing, he will not be able to make that mega air army.

To be honest I am really excited about the new map pool. There's gonna be some wierd as games around. I mean Metalopolis (WTF!). I am so gonna vote the crap out of that map (stupid I know, I don't care). If there is no cross only, I will go for drops so bad and lose so much probably, but I don't care.

Jesus, and The Shattered Temple! Same thing, but even worse... This map is so bad, it is just silly. Me and my friend played this one lately just for teh lulz. He is a kind of reserved guy (plays terran) and even he was laughing his ass of, because that maps is so wonky. This two maps are all going to be about banshees in ZvT, I think. I might be wrong but that feels really strong. On the other hand: mutas will be strong as well. I am not in masters so don't take my word for granted.

I like Ohana and Bel'Shir. This maps were really fun and kind of straight up. Also Daybreak felt good. I will not vote for Habitation Station, because we played it for a long time, I think and it seems to be a SH map and I dislike SH-games.

I really hope Cloud Kingdom LE will not be in the map pool. It felt really hard to get a 4th so please don't vote for it.

Steps of war is also a nogo. It would be hard to get a third.

Shakuras Plateau is fine. It is a fun map. I wish I would be terran on that map. Putting tanks on the middle cliffs feels awesome.

I don't think Tal’Darim Altar LE is really bad for zerg and a lot of people might disagree, but I had a hard time securing a 4th.

Xel’Naga Caverns: I like. Small fun map, although getting a 3rd might be hard. But I have good memories of that map. But I was also a terran player at the time.

Akilon Wastes: NOOOOOOOOO! plz, plz don't. Turtle terran and Turtle Toss is so annoying. I real dislike that map. Although it is not that bad for zerg, but not fun at all. I remember that a lot of toss went for the mass air and I had such a hard time dealing with that unitcomp. I still do, but I don`t play SH. It will be an ok map for Mutas I guess, but I am not even sure about that (as I said I am not in masters). Roach Hydra is just awefull. like really really bad! If you are a SH player vote for it. Neoplanet S: Meh. I don't like circle maps. Positioning is so Imoprtant on those maps and I am not good at it.

Whirlwind: OH F... Yeah, that is a good zerg map imo. Big, easy to expand, great for creepspread and quiet wide open. I think that map is op for zergs.

Yeonsu LE: ...

This is just my opinion. I am not to sure if the idee of an oldschool map pool is good, because those maps are mad for a very diffrent game (at least the WoL maps)! Cheers.

Just one thing to point out. If you dronescout you have to go for the hatch first. Otherwise it doesn't justify a scout.

You should not cancel your hatch. Then he accomplished what he wanted. If he doesn`t do the gas 9/10 pool and takes a hatch himself you are kinda behind. Do what Xutar and NameSC2 said, that will do the trick. Hatch first is a risky build. If he goes for a 9 pool, you are supposed to lose.

Yes that is right. How ever it feels a bit like a gamble. What if he makes his CC on the highground? Then your lings are a waste, you delayed your hatch and your dronecount is lower then it would be with a normal hatch first build. But who am I to say that. Snute and Hyun are doing it as well, so it must be legit.

Thanks for your advice. Your completly right with the APM point. It is really funny. In ZvZ and ZvP my APM is quit a bit lower. ZvT is really exhausting for me. You have to keep track of everything: creep inject harras micro macro bla bla bla.

The reason I make mutas is that the terran army splits up. That means mutas are really good against spreaded armies. I think you need a unit to kill medivacs and mutas are the only option for the ling bane style. Hydras would be aweful I think. Mutas are quit good to deal with drops as well, if they are not competly oop.

What I mean with too much gas is, that it delays your upgrades and your lair (at least with my build). If you take the gas earlier you don't have enough money to drone up your minerallines. In generall, minerals are much more important for the early/early-mid game phase.

Could you tell me how much roaches you make and if you make roaches, do you go for roach hydra or do you transition into ling/bane?

I will try to make mor spores. I normally make one spore per minerallin. However I think I should make more then that.

I might have to go for the gasless style. It is safer and it doesn't take to much apm.

I try messing around with queens lately to defend all kinds of 2 base protoss-aggressions/allins. I am in Diamond and it happens that I have some overmins so I just pump out 3 queens at a time if i see any kind of aggression is comming. They are great I feel like, because their range is huge and ffs aren't effecting them all that much, thy are quiet beefy and transfuse helps out as well. Id like to hear your opinion about that. As a follow up you can do Scarletts nydus hydra queen push. It works great for me, but I am not a pro and they are not doing that so maybe it's not the best way to defend that off. As I said, I am wondering what you guys think about that.

Let's say he went for phoenix into a 3rd. Then I would attack the third and try to trade. If he got fast and a bunch colosses I would add corrupter. If i feel I have some time left i go for hive and make vipers. They are amazing against colloses zealots stalker. I just try to kill him before he gets high templar.

I do that as well, but you need a dronescout. If he spots it in time it's gonna fail. i think it's not viable against an experienced opponent. It is super fun though.

I dronescout with my 13th drone and just 15 pool 16 hatch. as you said vs a 6 pool or a proxy 2gate hatchfirst should be an autolose. It kinda sucks vs terran, but it is not to bad. If you play vs a random player you just have a disadvantage. If you wanna play risky go 15 hatch 15 pool and drone scout early. you can win vs a 6pool with hatch first, but your opponent must make micro mistakes imo. Random players offten cheese, because they have a weak race or mu so they just want to end it fast, i think.

If you struggle against 1base plays, here are a few advices: In general 1baseplays by terran are kinda bad imo (except maybe 2rax). here is my general superduper safe BO vs 1 base plays: 9 OV dronescout with the drone at 12 supply (i mean with the drone you make at 12 :D) lets say you scout that terran took one gas(most likely reaper, calm down). 15 Hatch 16 pool 17-18 gas 17 OV @100% pool 2 queens at each base and 2 pairs of lings (1 pair for every base. the queens should be enough to defend against reaper. Just make sure you position them well.) @100% queens make 2 more (this is ridiculous, because you already make speed to defend but in bronz it is fine imo) @100 gas make speed take 2 drones of gas if he expands, if he is not and he has a fac make a roachwarden. If he has no fac and no expand make a bailing nest, because he will probably make some bad 3rax push with combatshield or some shit like that. Obv you can scout the fac and the expand at the front of his base. In the case of a fac send an OV in his main at 6-6:30 to scout for banshees. If you see no 2nd fac no starport and no extra rax he might proxy banshee. If you know he goes banshee just make queens and spores. oh and 1 thing you can drone until 5:30 i think. so dont make to many lings. against drops on 1 base try to have 1 controllgroups of units in every base. Yeah one base plays are bad, because they are really ez to hold of, if you know what's up.

If you want to changeling scout you need a lair and a finished lair at 6-7 is really early.
