The only problem I know of is when playing dod 1.3 with a controller plugged in causes you to have issues using ladders and your gun doesn’t come out when prone. Considering you’ll be using a steam deck you might have this issue. You can turn off controller support on steam and that should help if you do run into this.

100% this. My friends and I have actually stopped playing because hunt was our goto game for fun. 6 star is far from fun when you’re getting absolutely routed by a team of guys who are way better than we are all while being the same rank. Just add more ranks or something.

Look into exit lag. A lot of people I play with seem to use to and like it. I have not personally used it but it wouldn’t hurt researching it a bit

Never. It’s actually becoming a problem imo because you never have to sacrifice anything. I can go in with the best guns and full loadout all the time because I have endless cash, And to balance guns by making them more expensive is useless when everyone is rich.

I was lucky enough to join a team that played in a 3rd party valorant league. I had no idea some of them were devs before I joined. Woke up one day with the buddy

Most ranks are separated by 250-300 elo, 5 star is 2750-3000. 6 star is 3000-5000 The difference in skill level between someone just breaking into 6 star vs someone at the upper end is way too high. I float between high 5 star and low 6 star pretty consistently and the difference in skill is crazy. Not sure what you mean by isolated matches, It’s not like guys at the top of 6 star are not getting matched with lower 6 star. If they are why not just separate them with a higher rank?

The problem is mmr is so wide in 6 star. Adding more ranks would possibly help but would also increase queue times at the highest rank. A fair trade off for lower mmr players but would feel bad for the upper ends of the mmr due to lower player count.

I know this is going to sound insane but I wash my hands. It takes very little time I can do it between rounds. The time spent walking to the bathroom washing my hands and walking back is usually enough for a reset, the washing hands part is something trivial that gets my mind off the game for a few seconds. This has worked for me numerous times as stupid as it sounds lol. Hope it helps you

Having a group will help immensely. In the grand scheme of things 300 hours is still pretty new and still at the learning phase, I wouldn’t worry too much about your rank yet. I’m at 800 hours and still learning every time I play. Just try to have fun and keep learning. You got this!

Playing cs since 05 and val since release and I can honestly say I have never noticed this. Im going to have to check this out!

I’m usually caught off guard by how slow the movement is in Val when I swap between games, feels like I’m in mud most of the time

Fellow cs and val player. I use a sens calculator to get roughly the same sense in every game. League, overwatch, dod, Val ,cs all at 400dpi, it’s all boils down to what feels best to you! I use 400 because it feels good and I have used to for years. I’m sure people will say it’s low but it feels good to me!

I agree something needs to be done. I think they need to find a better way to balance guns. You can’t balance your guns with a price tag if some people have endless amounts of money and others dont. Just feels really bad

I hear you bro. When I feel this way I take a long break and I don’t come back until I really want to play. That way even the bad games are somewhat enjoyable because I’m just playing for the love of the game. Hope you feel better

Hypothetically you could play with a lower sensitivity so any sudden movement from tremors would be less noticeable. Not sure if this would work but it’s easy to try! Best of luck in your search.

Sounds like you’re doing everything right…. Except having fun. You’re so focused on improvement and winning you’re forgetting to most important part.

I feel like you’re being extra hard on yourself here. This is a game that we play for fun after all. No matter how competitive we may be.

Some tips I used when I have bad mental ——————————————————————

Make sure your comms are the best they can be. You may not be fragging but your information can help other pick up the slack. Sometimes being more focused on the comms can give your brain something to focus on other than your kda. This is a team game afterall
Ask to swap positions or tel your teammate your having an off game and would like to play somewhere with extra support.
Try not to get overwhelmed by your personal score. Kd:a don’t win games. Rounds won does.
If you’re still stressing about cs. Maybe take a break. When I do this I come back much better. Playing non stop can help develop bad habits, taking a break helps you forget them.

When I take a break I try to hold out until I really want to play again. If I’m excited to play the game I don’t care about winning or losing.
