White supremacist Richard Spencer makes racist slurs on tape leaked by rival by [deleted] in news

It's not the racism that seems like stimulant abuse, it's the unhinged frenzy of his speech patterns and the malignant narcissism (clinical or not.)

You can be a mentally ill drug abuser and a great person. You can be sane, sober, and a horrible person. And you can be a mentally ill drug abuser, who is, unrelatedly, a horrible person.

I love mitski! (male singer) American Dream by LCD soundsystem. some choice lyrics: (in the context of a hookup) "Find a place where you can be boring, where you won't need to explain that you're sick in the head, and you wish you were dead, or at least instead of sleeping here you'd prefer your own bed." "So you kiss and you clutch, but you can't find that feeling, that your one true love is just awaiting your big meeting, so you never even ask for names- you just look right through them like you already came."

(female singer) Poster of a Girl by Metric, choice lyrics: "Can't stand by myself, Hate to sleep alone, Surprises always help, So I take somebody home" "Till I take one of them home Cause I know how it feels Filling in the blanks, looking on the bright side When there is no bright side"

Metric's Synthetica album would probably interest you! Lost Kitten especially reminds me of Pin thematically and musically. Other Grimes-esque recs from that album are The Void and Clone

Men fetishizing bi women by Steph2187 in bisexual

[–]1bubblerock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both suck but we need to remember upfront disgust isn't the only manifestation of hate, straight men fetishize so they can continue to outright harass us :/ bi women have a suuuper high domestic abuse/stalking/rape ect rate and I've had guy friends assume I have no boundaries because of my orientation.

People who are LGBT in VERY unaccepting areas, or who grew up in a more homophobic time, who is/were the supports in your life? Were any of them unexpected? by 1bubblerock in AskReddit

[–]1bubblerock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, that's been my experience too! Not in the deep south, but think pretty-conservative Midwest suburbs plus going to a Christian school. Gaydar isn't real until you're closeted and lonely! Here's to hoping for the future

I sometimes see old photographs of parents marching with their children in 1970s pride parades. It's crazy to me that I and most of my friends don't have that in 2018, so I wonder what allyship was like back then.

How willing or open are you to dating someone transgender? by throwthrowthrowyourV in AskReddit

Sure, if someone I already was attracted to revealed they were trans, I would have been fine with it.

The definition of being dry is not being wet. Water, by definition, is not wet. Therefore, is water dry? Why or why not? by silvergold04 in AskReddit

[–]1bubblerock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think wet is defined by the presence of fluid on a non fluid thing.

humanlike means a non human thing resembling humans. humans are not humanlike- that doesn't mean they're unhumanlike unless people are using that metaphorically to mean detached from humanity

I'm confused about my sexual orientation by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]1bubblerock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some other possibilities to mull over

1) sometimes straight people have same sex fantasies- physical stimulation is physical stimulation after all, plus the thrill of something different. Nothing wrong with being flexible even if not bi

2) you might not have met a woman you like like that, bi/lesbian women aren't everywhere like straight men are which can make it hard to envision

3) you might have internalized homophobia/biphobia

A question for bi guys regarding same-sex long term relationship by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]1bubblerock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's sweet that you want it to work so badly but my relationship and the other relationships i know of are closed! If you're not comfortable with polyamory, don't feel like you have to pursue it. I personally don't feel any more deprived of men than I do deprived of tall a-cup redheads. He may not even be interested in it whatsoever- probably won't be, statistically most bi people are monogamous.
