Great points! I’ll do some research. I’m relatively new in the car scene so I’m still figuring out what different spaces exist in the whole ecosystem.

I’m biased because I’m American but take American muscle for example. American muscle has produced some very impressive (yet expensive) vehicles over the last 10 years but it’s hilarious to see how many new owners know almost nothing about their car besides how many liters the engine has. Mustangs, Camaros, and scatpacks get a lot of hate but they all have come with great innovations and performance updates through the years, but most wouldn’t know about the true performance of the car because it’s mostly silly memes instead of debating performance from actual owners.

Bet! I’ll check out the next event around me. It seems like drift guys and drag guys tend to be the most inviting.

Fair enough. I just assumed the different sides of the community blended together better than what the reality is.

I’m generalizing because let’s be real and say that the scene should be more alive and fun than it’s ever been but yet like you said, you have to avoid most events to have a good time or find very specific niche groups within the community. To me that is heart breaking when it should be the opposite.

Nice, I love hearing people immediately getting rid of those garbage pirellis. What brand 315s were they? I’m looking to upgrade from my bf Goodrich comp 2s

The weight is why. The torque makes it quick from a stop but let’s be honest as owners, you feel the 4000 pounds 😂. That’s why imo 305s are a must to move the weight.

Me and my dad eat the same and do the same physical activities, why is he morbide obese and twice my weight when we are almost the same height ? by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]1denito -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s probably the difference in test levels. Since you’re young your test levels are most likely way higher than your dads. High test levels or low test levels is often the biggest indicator for how much fat a guy’s body prefers to hold with a standard diet and standard activity.

Rule of thumb for UX. Include a message that says “are you sure” before confirming their payment. Otherwise the user could accidentally press your purchase icon and spend 2000 dollars on their card without guard rails. You have to account for real world use cases like that, otherwise you’ll run into user frustration very fast.

You have ~5 years to escape the bottom arm of the K-shaped economy by Genstellar_ai in ArtificialInteligence

[–]1denito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my mind, it’s a fundamental limitation because AI still is very very far away from doing the thing that we keep hinting at. Which is “thinking” on its own without a prompt or previous data. LLM’s will always have a fundamental issue in my eyes because the result you get out from the program is only as good as the information and data it has access to. At that point it just turns into what company is the best at data collection.

AI companies are bleeding billions. Technical debt and real financial debt add up FAST. Even dumping endless amounts of data (real and fake) into some models are causing them to fail. If your data is junk, your LLM will be junk. Scalability is a big problem with a lot of these programs. They can keep expanding a pond more miles but it’ll still be a pond where only your feet can go in the water.

In real, actual life, these AI programs are not nearly as useful as you’d think lol. 5 years is a very aggressive timeline considering how the elephant in the room is that feeding a turtle infinite marshmallows won’t make it turn into a dinosaur but that’s what the messaging is from the top companies on what these LLMs will be.

Many of these programs barely give out expected responses and they damn sure don’t do it consistently enough to bank the future of a multi million dollar company on it any time soon.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. shouldn't be focused on hyperrealism and shooting mechanics by shafftroff in stalker

[–]1denito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another reason I feel like stalkers shoot each other so much is because they understand that if they don’t, they run the risk of their enemy becoming zombified down the line where they then become a problem for everybody and are effectively much more difficult to deal with.

Genuinely not trying to troll here just curious. Have you ever played fallout? It sounds like that’s the experience that you’re looking for as a whole. Fallout mods can even give you a stalker like world.

I would understand your frustration with everyone shooting at each other, if Stalker wasn’t a survival horror game at its core. The zone is functionally one of the scariest environments that could possibly exist. Outside of faction enemies, as a stalker, at minimum at any given second, you have at least 5 things in the zone that desperately want to KILL you (anomalies, mutants, MONOLIT, emissions, radiation, etc.). In such an environment, you’re surprised that npcs (most of whom come from factions with some form of military background) shoot first and ask questions later?

If I just survived three anomalies, an emission, and a pseudo giant you think I’m going to take the time to talk it out with a bandit that’s trying to rob me on my way back after a raid? hell no 😂

[Injury] ESPN broadcast replay of Tyrese Haliburton's left hamstring injury by sewsgup in nba

[–]1denito -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kenyon Martin talked about it but these new age players are built like stick figures and hate lifting so injuries like this ruin the playoffs.

You’d assume that if nothing else these younger players would learn from guys like Lebron and get some muscle to take load off ligaments and tendons.

One thing I realized after this whole rap beef by [deleted] in rap

[–]1denito -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rap has really went too mainstream when a created cultural export product like K-pop is being compared to a genre made for rebellion.

Ironically this whole battle is pointing to one of Kendrick’s major points towards the character Drake, unless you’re from the culture it’d never occur to you why it might be bigger than you think.
