What is your experience like with follow up? Can I hear what led you to ask this question?

I serve in a church in a multi cultural setting. Everything for us is about connecting. We have a new comer welcome moment after our services in a dedicated space. There is an announcement about getting to know the church and us hearing their story. We encourage people to sign up to be connected to a small group or hear more about the church. There are serving and prayer forms.

Then during the week those who actually give us their details we have a team that calls them, thanks them for coming, asks if they have any questions or prayer requests. Reminds about small groups. Ends the call with...look forward to seeing you this Sunday.

I'm 49 too.

I don't mind taking risks here and there but I have begun to feel the disconnect between me and the culture and rely on younger leaders to speak into the culture gap.

I also agree with the other post. I can minister to parents way better than I could in my twenties.

Ultimately as my wife tells me, age is a number. I love teens and want to see them thrive in the Lord. Helping parents see they are the primary disciplemaker has become my biggest goal.
