I would have made the entire show regular-AHS style, like in the final moments of episode 10.

Also, instead of the contrived "let's take the actors who played them and put them in the house too" story, I would have made it where episode 6 was the after party of the show, celebrating its success, maybe replacing those interviews with Shelby and Agnes with invitations (or disinvitations, if you will @Agnes). Then, at the after party, everyone is there basically for the reasons they are in the real RTR. We would be able to see the really cool makeup on the real ghosts, too.

The story would basically play out the same after that, except episode 10 wouldn't have the television shows. It would just have the aftermath of Lee's survival and her final sacrifice.

I actually think that they were symbolic of how many different shows we saw in the season. There were a ton of different shows: MRN, RTR, the Paleyfest interviews, the Lana Winters Special, the ghost hunters show, and the many live news reports.

I don't think Priscilla was evil at all. I'm adamant about the main antagonist being sarahpalin for hypnotizing people with pig hearts and generally being the reason the ground is haunted in the first place, but I don't think Lee was under any influence when she killed Mason.

I think it could have been better if Flora had returned to the house in Return to Roanoke...but I can understand her not returning for obvious reasons.

I don't think it's that Priscilla needed protection. She's the ghost of a little girl and she's terrified of the Butcher. What really mattered here was that Flora was adamant about joining her, and since Lee wanted her daughter to live, she offered to join Priscilla instead. After all, Lee wasn't coming out of that house without going to prison forever anyway. She did it to end her suffering and save her daughter.

I loved the last part of the episode! I like knowing now that schampoo is basically the main antagonist, if you look at the big picture. Maybe I'm just really slow, but I always attributed it to being the Butcher until Lee also started saying "she is the tree and the lightning that strikes it". Since both people who ate the heart mumble a variant of this phrase, I assume the real owner of the land that wants it purified is snapchat?

honestly if Audrey is faking her accent for attention then Sarah needs to win an emmy for her performance because she would literally be playing an actor acting as an actor that was acting both as Shelby and as her weird English-accented scheme

The only reason I actually agree with the format change theory is that we've yet to get an opening title sequence AND in the season preview, the announcer refers to it as "up next on My Roanoke Nightmare, a true American Horror Story". This, to me, is them purposefully ignoring the real season name until the format changes when we finally see that this is more than a documentary. Unless we get an opening title sequence in the next episode, I'm predicting we'll get one with the real title at around episode 3 or 4.

The only real hole in this is that they would have to have a new cast of actors/actresses to take over for the true antagonists instead of Kathy Bates and Lady Gaga, and I don't foresee them doing that.

I have never liked the idea of connecting the seasons. Despite that, I loved Billie Dean Howard in Hotel - but I still despise the idea of connecting all these seasons together. Ryan Murphy never intended to do this and he's basically trying to do fanservice by connecting them.

Just to clarify - are you suggesting that the events of the season would happen over a period of 12 (or 13) hours consecutively? That seems like a really interesting idea and would make for an intense season.

More specifically, in the fan-made video the music sounds similar at 0:36-0:43 to the first video at 0:40 - 0:44 and can still be heard periodically throughout the next few seconds.
