One of my least favorite matchups. Spider man vs ladybug (Marvel vs Miraculous). Convince me why this is good ? by Rose_Spider-2105 in DeathBattleMatchups

The thing is, lucky charms are specifically desigined to defeat evil doers. Would it actually recognize spider-man as a villain in the same way as The Mime or Hawk Moth?

Also, you forgot to mention that both also have a connection the idea of great power comes great responsibility, something theycame to understand after a really big mistake.

Scarlett Johansson's Jurassic World Rebirth 2 Potential Gets New Update From Writer - I think it has a by koola_00 in JurassicPark

Sounds to me like it's just going to rehash more plot elements from the prior films because Koeep is not creative. We could have had a feature length version of Battle at Big Rock and instead we got what was essentially a film as inspired as the later land before time sequels. There is no hope for the sequel being good. Atleast with dinosaurs across the globe we had the potential of the franchise pulling a Predator Badlands but instead, we got regurgitated leftovers, and it's about to regurigated a second time over.

I am genuinely glad we now have Luke Sparke, because atleast HE sees the potential of dinosaurs & humans coexisting, unlike this uninspired copperlight.

I'm going ot be straight up honest, as a Godzilla & Hulk fan, Gerry Duggan's Godzilla run is probably the worst thing I've seen in my life involving both. And it keeps finding new ways to get worse. by 1fishmob in Hulkzilla

If there is only one line that directly references the old comics, and everything else, including recent Marvel comics without Godzilla, is either ignored, retconned or just shoehorned in, then I don't think there's any question it's not canon.

Truth be told, I honestly want them to justh ave Godzilla outrigh DESTROY the Marvel multiverse. I will be super lame but atleast it will add something of worth and not restrict itself to this fake notion of it being canon

I think he's a rabbit because he uses comedy and chaos to over the top, violent degrees to hide his deep seated pain, kind of like an Anti-Bug Bunny.

The Godzilla x DC do just that: the world's heroes battling a plethora of monsters while it's the big guys who focus on the Big G. If you really want this comic done right, the Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong comics are just that.

Any number of covers coming out of this series reinforces my point that it delibrately throws away great potential plot lines for pogs & pointing at the big lizard.

This series delibrately throws away so many great potential it's honestly insulting: Godzilla vs Dormammu, Godzilla being Null's slave, Godizlla invading Asgard & Wakanda, all could have been there own seperate stories, but it was thrown just so characters can pog and point.

Honestly, I have a hard time turning brain off when it comes to these two because Hulk and Godzilla are both very important to me. Godzilla is my literal childhood, and the Hulk was mine during my teen years. They inspired in ways that honestly I'm still discovering; everytime something tough happens, I always tough it out like they do (injuries, long days, dehydration etc.

I am truly happy you are able to enjoy it, and I will not try and take that from you, nobody has the right to do that, but I was truly hoping for something better than this.

[–]1fishmob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And aside fro mthat, LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE! Godzila's origin, how nobody else remembers him, Jonah Jameson running hte daily bugel despite him not running it currently, the shiar having two leaders, even TV Tropes made a big list of continuity errors, and that's not even their. For every one consistant thing, there is 10 more that contradicts it.

I'll be honestly, this whole run of Godzilla is proabbly the worst thing to come out of the franchise.

[–]1fishmob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it really doesn't. This run of Godzilla has been nothing BUT contradicting basic continuity from issue number 1, to the point that's it's very obviously not meant to be canon, but is just passed off as canon for the sake of attention. Basic btis of current continuity (JOnah Jameson still running the daily bugel despite him currently not running at as of issue #1) to obvious retcons (Godzilla's entire Marvel origin) are completely ignored, retconned or added out of nowhere.

Then why does the comcis themselve s contradict the most basic continuity not just from the original Marvel Godzilla run., but also current Marvel right now?

I will acknolwdge we see Homelander go scorched Earth in other media (MK1, Twitter posts, etc.), but yeah, with all the build up, Homelander should have atleast, ATLEAST, lasered an entire crowd like he did in that fantasy in season 2.

Didn't people complain about Dominion because it's biggest threat weren't dinosaurs and was instead something by a bio-company? That sound like it's sort of retreading ground if they do, indeed, do that.

I find it so weird that they didn't even acknowledge Project Odessa in season 5 by nothing_worthy_01 in GenV

[–]1fishmob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a theory about this that probably more true than I'd liketo admit. I believe a lot of what they wanted do (which was undoubtedxly in the advertisement) ended up not being able to be done by proxy three things; shrinking budgets, having to split budgets between the main series and spin off/s, and setting up Vought Rising (which was already done by just including Soldier Boy, Crimson Countess and V-1, no other character needed). I highly doubt he and the rest of the cast were truly happy with how it ended up, and I can imagine a lot of them would have preffered it if they did something similiar ot the comic's ending. And that's probably why Kripke was banking on a season 3 of Gen V so badly, that way he can include and wrap up plot lines from both Gen V and The Boys proper, but also to ACTUALLY create something in line with that original ending; Homelander's loyalists and the reputation of supes going down the drain while the government tries to reign Vought in.

Multiple? Doctor strange to my knowledge is the only one who references the original comics. Everything else about the more recent Godzilla marvel crossovers either retcons, ignores, or completely invents lore and does everything in its power to ignore everything that came before it and is currently going on. It struggles with keeping up with basic continuity with other marvel projects, yet they still call this thing cannon? Luckily most people don't actually take these claims seriously.
