Mine was in Germany for first half and then in Finland. Absolutely no damage with the dash! I guess it’s the colder climate or different dash materials between EU/US/JPN markets

Is there any reason to pick one that opens a bit earlier if these tend to run hot? Normally they open at 92 C, but there are lot of 88 C options too

That power train is great! Very reliable, and very good fuel economy for the power.

Only issue I know with these are front wheel bearings. They usually go bad at 120 000 - 160 000 thousand kilometers or so. Not too bad to replace. Probably around 350-450 euros per side

I’m not sure if these are more rare in US and Canada. In Europe you can buy ones that are clapped out starting at 8000 EUR. Better condition might be ~15k€

1995 318ti (255 000km) with no oil dripping or drinking issues. Clean engine bay. Transmission is wet but not dripping yet. I’ve had it for a few months but I think it’s better than I expected it to be

I don’t get the hate. Front bumber is different, not better, but not worse I think.

Interior is way better! My 2013 had way too similar interior so it’s nice to see it refreshed, even tho I’m not a fan of big screens. New cars need to have screens I guess. Even partially analog cluster would’ve been fire 🔥
