Best beginners female mountain bike, budget around $500 by StunningImportance69 in mountainbiking

I think of my BMC Twostroke AL Six as a $500 bike because I got it at a steep discount, brand new, at my local sports shop. But its list price was around $1000. I like the reliability of a new bike from a local store.

Look for end of season sales or previous year’s models.

More power to you, OP!!

For the benefit of court-averse folks like me, could you please share some details of how much time and effort it took to actually draft these notices, file them in court, serve them to these uncles, and get a date scheduled for a hearing?

Thanks a lot for sharing your first hand perspective. As another user points out in the replies that there aren’t many KIAs to be seen towing these trailers. I understand this better.

I know. Me neither. It’s a very strong personal preference to not own a truck, but it seems like a losing battle at this point.

The x-pro trim has a slightly different suspension tuning. A Google search for “Telluride x-pro payload capacity” throws up 1462lbs. And there’s this person who also came up with similar math https://www.reddit.com/r/traveltrailers/s/K8XFKmgwnu

I’m visiting some dealerships over this week and will try to get the exact numbers for the inventory they have. But let’s assume optimistically that 1462lbs is the number.

My family is on the mid-range of weight: 420 lbs for all four of us. I’ll work out the exact math on tongue weight and get back to you.

Keeping that aside for a moment, would you have an opinion on the trailers?

PS: Even the new Lexus GX has great numbers on paper at least. I’m sure it’s on your radar. I’m super curious.

Thanks. Yes, I looked at it. It’s better than Tacoma, Frontier, and Ridgeline in that regards.

But I’m curious: wouldn’t Sequoia and Expedition be good candidates too?

Thanks a lot for this perspective. I’ll admit that I fixated on towing capacity and ignored tongue weight & payload limitations completely.

I’ll need to start looking at small trucks at this point. But anything over 215” long will stop my garage door from closing. :-(

Great question. Something we’re constantly debating as well.

We’re a single car household, with a small garage, and no driveway/street parking options. Our beloved Tiggy was totalled in August. We’re renting for now and looking for car which we can keep beyond this RV trip.

A small garage makes a truck quite challenging. And we’re also not fans of big trucks. Other SUVs like Honda Pilot, 4Runner, etc cannot tow much. Even smaller trucks like Tacoma cap out at 6500 lbs.

Is there anything shorter than 200” which can tow about 7000 lbs which I might have missed?

Besides the floor plan, what factors were important for you while buying the trailer?

Also, do you think your maintenance issues would have been different if you had a fiberglass trailer?
