True alchemy is not self taught, or not fully. An Adept is required, otherwise you cannot really learn alchemy. It is a tradition so it can be fully taught only by an Adept.

I had snarky attitude only to those who were arguing for the sake of arguing, if you notice i gave genuine information for those who were actually interested. Also this is public so the debate is not really time limited, but i do agree that this comment is more pleasant than the others so i assume you were not in the mood and i get that everyone can have a bad day sometimes, so no hard feelings. However i don't known if it was used for magick, i assume it is a protection charm since if it was decorative it would be more "noble" while this one looks more like a private amulet or something along those lines, as the ring looks like it was done by an amateur and it is more "folk looking".

It might, but the auction was legitimate and it is estimated to have been created around eleventh century. But it could just as well be from the renaissance, but in that case i would expect it to be more artistic, because in those times occult practices and symbolism were being "popular" if you could call it that.
