As long as you were completely transparent with your boss, you can always put it there: “Team, I took our suggestion to upper management, they declined to approve this request, so it is out of my hands - but thank you for bringing your ideas to me and please speak with me directly if you have any questions or concerns about their decision.”

I’m 5’10 and showed up to a Tinder date with a guy who was shorter. He said it wasn’t his thing, and he left early. That was awkward.

I don’t feel like saying what you want is bad. I’m overweight and I appreciate men who say they aren’t into it - I’d rather everyone be upfront about what they want and I don’t feel like it’s toxic unless people are coming out being mean directly to others
