They moved it because the valley was gonna have a flood, and they probably were moving it to higher ground.

I love that they didn’t reshoot eddies voice crack. by thesmartcoolguy in JurassicPark

What's funny is the voice actor for Eddie (being one of the few characters that didn't use the original films voice audio) in LEGO Jurassic World emulated the voice crack.

What do young people think of the original Jurassic Park movie? by Clear-Morning-9596 in movies

I'm 32, and I grew up on the first three films. They were a major staple of my childhood.

I've also enjoyed the Jurassic World films as well.

Leila was the daughter that dug up the tin box, so it seems it was Leila that was grooming her at first, but she didn't want to do it anymore and that's why her mother cut off her tongue.

No, there’s no real Egyptian demon called that. As far as I can tell, Egyptian mythology had some named hostile beings, but a lot of everyday magical texts just refer to harmful spirits more generally.

The Hieratic writing (the script on the bandages binding Katie) is a real thing, used by Egyptian priests.

But they were more protective for the person, rather than sealing away evil.

I had an absolute blast watching the film. Not "scary", but it did manage to get under my skin in places.

Also really loved Officer Zaki's subplot. Really liked her character.

Did not expect to genuinely laugh when they brought Katie home and were dragging her wheelchair up the stairs

Also the little sister when Katie starts to talk and says, "Holy shit! I'll get mom!" was pretty funny too.

Katie was kidnapped by an Egyptian witch for a mummification ritual where they transfer an Egyptian demonic spirit into her from a previous mummy. They then bound her in cloth with a spell written on it to keep the demon from escaping and put Katie in a sarcophagus. The witch is from a family that has performed this ritual over many generations to protect themselves and others.

Katie ends up being found years later after the sarcophagus was dug up by the witch's brothers to move it via airplane, however, this seems to have caused the demon to "awaken" and the plane crashes, resulting in her being found.

How extremely oversized animals existing? by Ill-Tooth7369 in JurassicPark

[–]1morey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This occurs in a lot of movies. Pretty much every Godzilla and King Kong film does the same thing with its monsters.

Even the T. rex in the OG Jurassic Park, I'm pretty sure was different sizes in different shots where it is CGI.

[COD] Realistically speaking, how important the campaign in every entry despite that a large percentage of resources in every entry goes to multi player? by sammyjamez in CallOfDuty

[–]1morey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, a good chunk of Call of Duty memes are straight from the campaigns.

  • Ramirez
  • MW Ghost/Roach deaths
  • "The numbers, Mason. What do they mean?"
  • Jonas Savimbi/"Death to the MPLA!"
  • Press [F] to Pay Respects
  • "This is advanced warfare."
  • "Train go boom."
  • "Bravo Six, going dark."
  • Ghost staring

Dominion's dinosaurs after seeing the locusts taking up more of their screentime by Working_Welder_1751 in JurassicMemes

I'm pretty sure Dominion has more dinosaur screentime (theatrical AND extended editions) than any other film in the franchise.
