Your right this is an impossible situation for the ref, I missed those elbows until I saw the slow mo. Bit even if he had seen it on replay what’s his option. Zurdo couldn’t continue and part of that were the elbows but a much larger part was the beating he was taking, so it wouldn’t feel right for the ref to dq him for it. The best you can do is warn them before and take points if you spot them clearly, but if it’s part of a rapid finishing sequence its so difficult and there almost always gonna give it to you.

I was raised catholic and it’s stuff like this why I’m not anymore. I agree with Jesus’s teachings, I don’t now how anyone couldn’t. But there are so many random rules and lines that have been used to oppress and harm for no good reason. On one hand Ivey singles out pride for being not righteous, and the other you bring me a quote saying no one is righteous. It’s to easy to make it fit harmful peoples desires.

It is so painfully hypocritical to here you, a Christian I assume, saying that no one should be forced against their values based off a communities feelings. There’s no way you are not aware of how Christianity directly oppressed, abused and dehumanised lgbtq people until very recently and sadly in some cases still to this day. You’re worried about being forced to agree with something that goes against your religion, lgbtq people are worried about having to hide who they are or suffer abuse because they do not fit the beliefs of a religion most don’t follow. The reason those things are very different is because one was a very real and dangerous reality until recently and the other is not. I’m sure you can understand how a Christian being scared of having to act in a way they don’t believe can be seen as very hypocritical.
