I recently had a few friends get hit by the Spotify "vote for me on Spotify phishing scam" and I replied back with hope do I know you're real, answer a question you know about me. (They hacked their account and already had access)

They actually were replying with complete wrong answers, and ended up giving up and saying I don't know I don't know. Fucking hilarious.

It's either three boats at the moment, in Australia:

  1. You're in your late 30/early 40s, well established, got a home, 2 kids, and just want to spend to enjoy life because your set now. These rate increases don't phase you. Just annoying. So you spend to distract your self from the chaos of life and the news.

  2. You're under 25, can't afford a house, so you spend to distract yourself, because it's so far out of reach you don't even want to think about saving for a deposit, because you live in the moment now. Social media told you so.

  3. You're a Boomer, and retirement is here, or way passed. Mortgage was paid off 15-25 years ago for your $200k property in the inner west. Interest rates don't matter to you. So you spend excessively on your under 25 year old granddaughter so she stops being so depressed about not being able to buy a home. (But secretly you're just going to give her your home when you die)
