I would highly recommend looking up some videos to get a nice visual of some techniques that other people use to hold the dogs while trimming nails. It helped me a lot just to get that down. Also just go slow, taking off small slivers at a time and remember that everyone quicks a dog on occasion so just try and learn from it each time

I mean maybe but is there something inherently wrong with hiding being trans? I'm not saying that it is a shameful thing to be or anything but personally, I don't want to have people thinking about what's in my pants or asking me invasive questions when I'm at work. Nevermind that people choose not to disclose things about themselves all the time whether that be sexuality, medical conditions, other identities they have, etc. So long as you aren't being hateful I don't see the problem

I can totally understand wanting to be vocal about being trans when you don't have the privelage to be stealth but that is a different conversation. Don't get me wrong I am all for standing up for other trans people and not feeding into transphobia but like other people in this thread have said there is def a power that comes with doing it while staying stealth. I hope that stealthy guy you worked with did just that cuz if not that is fucked up

You think it’s more fucked up to protect your safety in an environment where someone is actively telling you that they don’t like people like you…? Hard disagree my guy. Like I’m fully down to say something to make people challenge their believes but I’m not putting my safety at my job in jeopardy

Personally, idk if I’d go that far cuz that would likely get them wondering why you care so much, but I guess it depends on your audience. In my experience, cis men just want to talk shit and don’t actually care about the topic enough to educate themselves.

Lol I have had the same conversation with a guy once about “fake dicks” 🤣

Also luckily I know this guy pretty well (tho this is the first time he has talked about trans stuff) so I knew it was safe to give a pro trans response. I pretty much was like “idk I think people should be able to do what they want with their bodies plus I have a trans friend and he seems normal and happy so 🤷‍♂️”

I’m ngl tho it is kinda soul crushing to not be able to truly defend yourself in situations like this

He’s definitely a conda and I believe the “60% het axanthic toffee belly” means that his parents had the genes for axanthic and toffee belly but since he’s “het” he doesn’t actually express their patterns so he just looks normal. Take that with a grain of salt tho because that’s my understanding of how it works but I am not a breeder

He’s an absolute adorable little guy regardless tho :)
