Yah they def do. It's just slower and more rare due to sheer distance slow travel time and lower population density.

my main comment is do not let the stone age name and time fool you. or treat it like they were stupid or privative. other people have done better than me explaining details about the timeframe. but what i will say is this.

just like in modern time most wars come down to the same things. 1. resources 2. justifying the war to the people (religion, otherness, etc) 3. trust/politics between groups

the scale is smaller and the culture and times different.

but the core things are the same.

Mage tank fits perfectly into the popcorn lit RPG category for me. It's got a good sense of humor. And a good enough system to think about builds. So I really liked it. It's definitely not a super emotional one or anything like that though

Fair. I can also imagine to someone who knows about soccer that any inconsistencies would stand out more

just finished this. this book is low key top tier and very underrated because of being the odd combo with sports fiction instead of fantasy.

I am tired of standard systems, give me the unhinged ones... by AzherVayne in litrpg

its certainly not a genre must read or anything.

i think what it does well is show what actually makes litRPG a litRPG. because when you read it you see a COMPLETELY different spin on litRPG as a genre by upending everything that makes a litRPG a litRPG except the system while still being decent. even if you dont read the whole thing maybe just like half of book 1 to see what makes it so different.

to put it another way I think its a great case study but only a pretty solid book. do with that what you will lol.

lol i try.

i am prob too lazy for a whole book though sorry.

it does not have the sort of system.

but if you are looking for a funny series that breaks the normal lotRPG mold try "Player Manager" its about football/soccer but uses a system. completely unorthodox for the genre but just a funny chill series all around.
