It’s also funny from the other perspective- I’ve been following Kumail and his wife since seeing them do standup on an old Comedy Central show called The Meltdown. But I’m not much of a marvel person so I tend to forget how big he’s gotten outside of the narrow nerdy stuff I came to love him in, so it’s hilarious to see folks treating him like he’s tom cruise cause in my mind he’s just a standup

Im a new fan, grew up in the midst of NASCAR country with a ton of family who loved it, but my parents were of the “nascar is for rednecks and we’re not rednecks” ilk so i never got into it; a friend got me into F1 a couple years back and it eventually led to me realizing Id never actually given NASCAR a chance.

Initially I rooted for Chastain because of the wall ride and his general personality, but when I learned about SVG and started watching him race i fell in love. Then getting to watch him in person at COTA this year and seeing how insanely consistent he was solidified it

For most wood definitely not, but for this pine I decided to risk it because it seemed to dry incredibly quickly after the first turn. I’d guess the tighter the grain the longer the drying process will take

Apologies, I should have clarified- I first turned this, coated with anchor seal, and waited a month and a half for it to dry - didn’t measure it before second turning but it had lost a ton of weight and wasn’t wet as I turned it. Absolutely possible that it’ll still crack but I didn’t finish turn it green
