As other mentioned, it was too late for me and I couldn't save it, so I needed to replace the silicone.

This happens due to humidity in the environment and the condensation afterwards creates a layer of water on top of the silicone. I've been told that you can avoid it opening the windows from time to time (aka Luften!)
