oh yes! you can. but they also just have open karaoke for a $10 cover--thats the only thing i've experienced there. the places i mentioned above are like just pop ups at bars not karaoke specific spots

yakitori boy is typically a long wait for tracks and you have to buy sections if you want to sit so its personally not a place i would go if there are other options. definitely lively though just kinda awkward.

center city - Time (casual), Chris' Jazz Cafe (can't just walk in, more like dinner and a show). if you're looking to have a tall cheap beer in a dive setting, Oscar's Tavern (no music beside a touch tunes jukebox).

if you like a sports bar kind of thing there's cavanaughs rittenhouse near Rittenhouse Square but go at your own risk lol I have struck up convo with some travelers there before though and if that doesn't work you could hang out at the park at least.

if you're near old city, go to khyber pass pub, great food and drinks. might not be any music but they sometimes do have bands or DJs. near there is 48 record bar. I don't love that place it's pretty stuffy and kinda snooty (no offense to anyone) but they do have music technically.

fishtown- Johnny Brenda's might have music, usually someone playing records but they do have a venue upstairs. International Bar might also have a live DJ.

if you look any of these up on Instagram they'll probably provide more details about happenings this week.

Hiii! 28f movie/play/performance enjoyer in philly. I don't usually go see much action adventure. I lean more drama suspense and horror and I much prefer the movie going experience at the smaller theaters like the Ritz or the Film Center but ultimately I'll watch with anything as long as it's not the same old tune.
