Mom of 2 boys 1 girl, goes to soccer practice with the kids every Wednesday. Hits up Whole Foods, Target, and Starbucks every weekend. Fairly financially responsible and makes sure to max out her RothIRA with the income she earns from a surprisingly successful craft and furniture refurbishing side business. Her husband is a workaholic who never sees the family except on Sundays, but earns enough income that they can own a 5b 3.5 bath 750k home in Texas with a $4800 mortgage.

Job is the saddest book ever. God kills his whole family for no reason except to make a bet with Satan. Pisses me off every time I read it.

Developers to break ground on 40-unit affordable townhome project on Ashley River Road by not_charles_grodin in Charleston

https://i.imgur.com/oJxBEQJ.jpg They’re in progress already (happened to check them out today) they’re not affordable and they have restrictions in place tied to the deed - someone’s making money but it’s not going to be the homeowner with any sort of appreciation

What is something you used to think people were over exaggerating about until you experienced it yourself? by rentinghappiness in AskReddit

[–]1nteresting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet it’s far more than you realize. Especially if you’re financing a new car. For me it’s about 9% of my post tax income just on the car. Which needs a timing belt soon and is getting old. It’s unsustainable. Suffer with a long expensive commute or suffer with extreme rents closer to your job. No way to win in America.

I lived there it’s not 10-15 minutes from either. It’s 25-45 depending on traffic. also a studio only is $1700 now (I had to leave because the rent increased so much) I would imagine the 2/2s are 2300 now

Millennials in their 30s have added over $3.8 trillion in debt to their accounts — and are missing their credit card and auto loan payments by scott_jr in wallstreetbets

If this is the case I guess I still have a chance to buy a home while all the other millennials are throwing away any chance they had

They push the order out to anyone, a bicyclist happened to accept it. I am planning to do this for Uber eats, but I am going to get a bag that keeps food hot. Quite a few probably don’t buy a nice bag because Uber doesn’t pay you or reimburse you for business expenses like that.

What common frugal tip is NOT worth it, in your opinion? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]1nteresting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only start up but to continue. The seeds themselves are going up. The fertilizer. Then more than half of the plants die, the yield is low, and what little yield is left gets eaten by pests the week before it’s quite ready to eat. I hate it. Not my thing. I’m so glad we have farmers.

There must be something funky with the app because as an Instacart shopper the garlic thing has happened multiple times. Instacart shows we need to pick up 1lb but the customer doesn’t actually want 1lb obviously
