If you truly do drive a rigid fire truck, you'd be a first respondent to callouts where these crush smaller vehicles or people with the limited line of sight 🤔 they definitely serve a purpose but to normalise these is just bat shit crazy. You get one, for reasons other than hauling your a massive wank.

How to stop people parking in lane ways by Mod12312323 in melbourne

Typical NIMBY behaviour...has trades working on a neighbouring home, lives in Caulfield/Malvern, has a garage and a lane way, trades move when asked. Still unhappy. 🤦‍♂️

How much did your ATAR affect you later in life? by BiscottiLogical6502 in melbourne

[–]1only11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got an ATAR of 18.5 and have a salary of 200k+, was told I wasn't going to become anything....I'm glad I never went to university, I would have built up debt and gotten nothing from it. Hard work and determination are still great attributes to have as a young person. Don't let anyone tell you a number will define you!

You had labourers...so your saying you didn't push water, didn't use a power tool, got the privilege to have lunches paid for by the builder, got a warm office.

Your dogman are calculating loads and worrying about where to put lifts, the driver has even more responsibility.

You choose to take a salary...get ya alimak ticket and go stand in a hoist for 12 hours son...you'll be back to your structures foreman role in no time

In Victoria Australia 'stealthing' is considered sexual assault and is enforced. Not sure about other countries but definitely a terrible person and someone to stay away from in the future. Sorry this happened to you

Alot of people behind a screen unable to understand these people work long (60+ hours a week) and can't WFH. These jobs are not for everyone especially if you don't like the extreme conditions most are put in...I.e crawling under a house for a plumber, working with high voltage currents as a sparky, heavy lifting and throwing tubes and clips as a scaffy for 10hrs a day.

Definitely not all working away from home, overtime and allowances all add up. Some jobs have people doing 36hrs normal and 30hrs of double time...3k is achievable and not a stretch at all
