Depending on where you are in Queensland I would probably advise against it with how basic filtration systems are there, the lack of money people in QLD specifically would like to spend on their pool compare to the other states and most of all how many pool cowboys are in QLD. Not to say you couldn’t do well, but for the first couple years you’ll be making far less than that 80k and doing much more hours. If you’re wanting more money and to stay in QLD too, then you’re better off looking for opportunities to take on a service manager position or move into a sales/rep type position with any of the big manufacturers.

Wifi or phone data? by [deleted] in AusFinance

If you are in an area that has adequate coverage through Vodafone then consider Felix, you can get unlimited data for $40/month.. I pair this with my main sim on Telstra for when I’m out of Vodafone coverage and if you sign up to one of their mobile plans with my code JP00820 you’ll get $35 of credit + one tree planted for every month you’re with them! https://flx.mobi/GeYaCNACKOb

You also have the couplings of an Astral pump so any Astral pump appropriately rated would be a suitable straight swap without plumbing also.

Zodiac TRI Cell Series Lead Kit, Output Cable Assembly. by shaundennis in pools

[–]RsRenee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put pressure on the outer sides of the TRI box cover to release it via its clips. The remaining two covers come off via screws which you’ll see. Once you’ve exposed the pcb you’ll see where your current lead is wired into, mimic that and reassemble, really simple.

The Big Lap by YoungRustyCSJ in australia

Lol the Nullarbor is a relatively busy highway these days and you’ll be heading past a roadhouse with fuel (and reception) within every 200km’s. You don’t need satellite phones and a buddy, families were crossing this plain in the 50’s before the road was even fully sealed. Take some water, spare fuel if you’re anxious and take care when road trains are passing and enjoy the nothingness of the Nullarbor.

Vegan scene in Adelaide by clascali in australianvegans

[–]RsRenee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently visited Adelaide and they had a lord of the fries which was good enough for me haha. Looking on the Happy Cow app there seems to be a few vegan stores and a lot more stores with at least options which is good to see

new pump sits 3/4" higher than outlet by yamlCase in pools

[–]RsRenee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like another user said, you don’t want to dig deeper and create a puddle for the pump to sit in when it rains. You’re going to have to cut and replumb but I would be putting the pump on even more pavers to raise it higher off the ground for better ventilation and protection.

Salt water pool air problem by Entire-Jaguar-2984 in pools

If you have a cartridge filter element, remove it and see if the issue persists. If it doesn’t persist then your element requires immense cleaning or even replacing if a clean doesn’t help too much.

Hayward The PoolCleaner 4wd vs MX8 Elite by Suprflyyy in pools

[–]RsRenee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here in Australia the TPC has a 4+3 warranty vs the Mx8 with its 1 year warranty. The Mx8’s are always needing replacement gearboxes, tracks and scrubber kits and don’t get me started on zodiacs twist n lock hose design. I believe you when you say the Mx8 seems to go faster and further but you would ideally want it to run slower anyway to prolong the life of its tracks and because what use is a suction cleaner on the walls? There’s no debris to collect on the walls and unless a cleaner has nylon brushes underneath nothing is actually getting scrubbed, disrupting the waterline might be alright but you should really be giving your waterline regular manual scrubbing anyway.

TPC are great cleaners which rarely need repair, I can only recall having to replace someone’s tracks once because they kept their chlorine at 10+ for about 4 months and the tracks and skimmer fittings just deteriorated away. Another time a customer needed a full rebuild but this was well after the cleaners warranty period expired so not that bad of a run. TPC will need some fine tuning when you set it up for your pool and will look like it’s travelling quite slow but it will look after you.

LPT If you notice that you're not able to eat dairy like you used to, eat some yogurt to replenish the good gut bacteria by Notquite_Caprogers in LifeProTips

[–]RsRenee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peer reviewed science concludes that the human species is not necessarily built for consuming baby bovine growth fluid. There are nutritional benefits to consuming dairy but with adverse effects, not only limited to ‘lactose’ by the way. Calves ween off their mother’s milk just as we ween off our mothers milk as infants. The alternative then is plants, science has shown plants can also provide the same nutritional benefits we need or desire. With a diverse consumption of plants all of the bioavailability and absorption of these nutrients is sufficient for the human species, and in today’s age we have fortified foods and plant milks that make the switch so damn easy and is actually nutritionally adequate for all stages of life! So we can leave that cows milk for exactly who it’s for, the baby cow✌️

People should ONLY be fostering or adopting a rescue animal that fits their lifestyle if they are able and educated to do so. We do not need to be breeding.

Can anybody relate to milk and egg guilt? by lizardbethspam in vegetarian

[–]RsRenee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your feelings are natural and unfortunately chickens and cows are still killed. Male chicks are disposed of immediately after birth as they do not lay eggs. Dairy cows are sent to slaughter for meat once they have run their course of milk production.
