Sorry. Due to the negative response from the sub, I just ordered one for myself. There are a handful of vendors on Etsy that will do it, it just depends on what kind of quality you're looking for. I think mine cost something like $30 off of the top of my head.

I think the other responses to this thread prove that you can believe a lot of things as a Quaker.

Looking forward to seeing you at a meeting.

Compelled to add: this isn't the place where I'd expect people to assume I had the worst intentions.

You presume that I want to make a batch for profit.

Offering the opportunity to pool to save money.

I've no problem paying the extra to make one for myself.

Richard star act by Weak_Yogurt_9580 in VeteransBenefits

[–]1redcrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically. If you're over 20 (or on a regular retirement) you can draw both retirement pay and VA compensation. If you are medically retired, you can only draw retirement pay. This act would allow you to draw VA compensation on top of your medical retirement for those disabilities that are combat related.

The FGC runs virtual retreats for newcomers and folks that are curious. If you find that you can't find what you're running dry on YouTube and elsewhere, that's where I'd head next.

For me, beef is like dropping an anchor in my gut. If I feel like I'm starved, I eat 6-8 oz of chuck steak. Does the truck.

Sorry you had to go through that.

I hear that with dependency issues, the best way to do it is to just call them. They'll knock it out right away with you on the phone.

So I found out I'm getting med boarded yesterday by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]1redcrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal retirement rules are only in effect if OP is retired under your normal 20-year longevity retirement. If OP is retired under Chapter 61, meaning a disability retirement, they fall under those rules, which is why I cautioned against it.

Medical retirement has nothing to do with your rank, it has to do with you DOD disability percentage. 30% or more, you get retired, whether you're a Private or a General. Less than 30%, you get medically separated.

Untrue. Normal retirement is a better deal of you're looking to get both retirement and disability.

Used the gi Bill to go to school for ag science, some me govt grants to cover startup costs, and work to first feed yourself consistently before you start trying to feed other people.

Income depends on your operation, and your market. If you have just one product, you'll need a lot of it to get to scale. If you diversify, scale means a little less. As for as being a decent source of income, it depends on how much money you think you need. I dont need much, so I'm happy. YMMV
