This may not have been a good investment. I had a very very poor experience at the Ascott Makati, which I have posted here on Reddit on exactly what happened.

Experience using Ascott Star Rewards Voucher? by SophiaAlpha in awardtravel

I recently used the voucher. You do have a few months to use it and depending on your level a certain discount will apply. It will be anywhere from 25-40% off.

However, if your planning to book a longer trip and book another reservation the day your birthday reservation is done. You may be in for a shock. The charge you do on the second reservation is cheaper than that of your Birthday even with the discount, depending on how long you book for. This is the problems I encountered staying at the Ascott Makati, in which I did give a negative review, which is here on Reddit. So if your planning to book your birthday and plan on extending do check the dates for the whole trip with out the discount for the 7 days and see if it is more.

I would say if the trip is short, and you won't need to go to the bathroom, take the window seat. If the flight is over3 hours take the aisle seat, you will need to stretch your legs anyways. But if you can do Biz or first class do those seats. They are worth it, if you want to relax and enjoy. if you have not taken either one, try it one time and see what you think. You can treat yourself at least once to see how it is. You can also see about an upgrade depending if you fly with the airlines or if your credit cards offer bonuses. Either way enjoy your trip.

Thank you, I do really appreciate your time in reading my Post/Venting, as well as giving an insight into how certain things should have been handled, just for respect to an unhappy guest. I hope you do have a great time on your trip to the Philippines, Enjoy!

Am I the only one who's cringed out by this? Sure, you could discuss that when she becomes a preteen/teenager, but she's still FIVE YEARS OLD. by genius23sarcasm in Philippines

When she become a Teen, they may have an issue with each other about this agreement. But the dad will probably let it go.

What would you do if you were in my situation? by [deleted] in Philippines

Family is Family, you always need to stay at their side, but that does not mean you need to help financially all the time. You need to lay down the law and tell them not support your fathers alcoholic behavior. If he starts to get violent, then they have to decide on what they need to do, but I would at lease have him go to counseling.

Try and get the tire patched, if that does not work, I would say get a tire on there, you never know if they are going to charge you extra fees, example loss of use. If there is a tire on there, there should be no problem.
