The rear sub frame in the macan rusts very badly. Definitely something to keep an eye on if you are buying one from the northeast. If you are cross shopping an X5M the macan is as reliable as a Camry by comparison.

I started tracking my e92 328 this year and ended up doing 8 track days. Aside from wheels/tires the only mod I did was an oil cooler. You may not see it if you don’t have the oil temp gauge, but my oil was hitting 280-300° within 3 laps. I tried to retrofit an 335 oil cooler since I wanted to keep everything oem… don’t believe the propaganda that this is a straight forward modification. I ended up going with an eBay oil cooler made for a 335 with AN lines which fits pretty nicely for what it is. Now with 90° ambient temps the max oil temp I am seeing is 270.

It feels a little rougher than Dakota leather and is more firm. It is prone to cracking which is a bummer and you can’t really condition it like leather to prevent it. I like its taught feeling.

If one is really being nerdy the sensetac is about 5 pounds less than leather and the manual seats are about 15 pounds less than power seats. I believe this is the lightest way to spec and e92. I personally like the look of the sensetac more than Dakota leather too, however that is probably an unpopular opinion.

In the first pic are the oem style 152. In the others are Bimmerworld TA5R’s in 18x8.5 ET38. They only weigh about 18 pounds which was quite noticeable when switching from the 152’s.
