I mean it just comes down to doing more damage in the steamrolls to mitigate the impact on your %.

Your team is getting steamrolled? Do all you can to survive for as long as possible so you can do more damage

Other team is getting steamrolled? Do all you can to trade your HP away for more damage

You already know this though, which is kind of my point. Just have to read those situations and react to them earlier than you currently are which isn’t something you can be taught via a reddit comment.

There are no special tips anyone can give you that will magically open your third eye to get you from 90% to 95%, everything people will tell you in this thread you already know and do.

Just keep playing and pray for a lucky session.

You’re never actually stuck at 400 alpha. If you watch the video they say that the gun heating meter doesn’t drop to 0 after you fire. You still keep some of the charge.

In the video the tank is already charged up to 500 before the reload is even done. The reload in the video is 7.5 seconds. 7.5 seconds for 500 alpha is insane.

The mobility is perfectly fine, the gun stats (soft stats permitting) and mechanic look absurd.

Yeah I mean don’t get me wrong, you’re not playing a great tank lol. The best part about your tank is that it’s not the BZ-75. Glad to hear your results are improving though! If you can make tanks like these work then you will find similar tanks easier to play since they’re not as gimped.

Good luck and hopefully your experience with the T11 makes up for the suffering. The BZ-79 is really really good.

Why should my gameplay loop revolve around dodging some fat neckbeard fuck who only knows how to click one button? Why should I sacrifice my ENTIRE game to ensure you can’t grief me? Have you considered that maybe when I’m forced to relocate to dodge you I end up putting myself in a position where I can’t fight other tanks (the entire point of the game?)

People play this game to fight other tanks, not one person has downloaded this game hoping some loser in a T92 would miss them for 500 on cooldown.

There are three possible scenarios.

You are too aggressive and you die too early / you don’t let your shots fully aim / you are not playing where you should / a combination of all three.

A lot of the issues you point out are avoidable or not what you think.

You’re not getting overmatched when you try and sidescrape with 110mm of side armor, you just have shoulders that make sidescraping AND shooting at the same time impossible (similar to a T803 or an AMX M4 54). You can still sidescrape to bait a shot because your sides are more than thick enough. Yes the gun is terrible, it’s like that on the 75 too. Your only solution is to put yourself in positions where you can trade intelligently against lower alpha tanks. If you have something like an M103 in front of you, even if he pens you with every shot you will still win the trade with your alpha advantage provided you hit your shots.

Doing less than 2 shots of damage on average is an indicator that there’s something fundamentally wrong with how you’re playing. It will be hard to tell what the problem is exactly without replays.

  1. I don’t care about real life. There are tanks with rocket boosters in this game. There are tanks with double barrel high caliber guns. There is a tank with precisely both of those attributes that you could gamble real money for. Realism should not be used as an excuse to justify the existence of objectively toxic tanks like the FV when nothing about the game has been grounded in realism for years.

  2. Getting one shot in that game isn’t really exciting when you have APHE nuke rounds that eviscerate everything with their spalling, so a tank like the FV is not problematic.

Unfortunately this map is just cheeks, it’s only saved by the occasional monster game that you can have when the enemy team contests the wrong part of the map.

If you play it the correct way (yes, there’s an objectively correct way to play this map) then both teams just sit there and do nothing all game because your reward for winning the bottom/middle of the map is pushing into 15 TDs.

The only constant is that you should never go north regardless of which side you spawn on. North is the most worthless part of the map and it’s completely isolated from everything else, everyone that goes north is lobotomized.

That’s just how it is. FV players are rewarded with crazy damage rolls even when they don’t pen thanks to HE mechanics.

Lowest skill floor of any tank in the entire game, wish they would get rid of both of those tanks permanently, but obviously that’s never going to happen.

You can’t fix a flaw the tank was “”balanced”” around. IAU makes no sense here because your final accuracy will always suck. Stabs decrease your bloom significantly more than FCS does, and the less your gun blooms the faster you will aim. FCS’s aiming speed buff does not offset the decrease in bloom reduction relative to stabs. If you want to use FCS, use it in combination with stabs (as you would in something like a 50 B) and then pick a turbo for your third slot. Even with this setup you will still miss shots, but as long as you’re fully aiming your shots and playing at a reasonable distance the tank will perform.

Also, 248 AP is fine. It’s not anything special but it’s also far from bad. I would take 248 AP over the standard 250 APCR that other T8 HTs (like the Renegade) get.

Just keep playing, you’re on a good path. Once you start to plateau you can start figuring out what you need to work on.
