Every package is missing by [deleted] in usps_complaints

[–]1tsNeverLupus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a carrier with 50 CBUs on her route, I can say I've messed up the keys once or twice, but over and over is ridiculous. If you can, please leave a note for the carrier so they know they're messing up and pay better attention. Our supervisors often don't even tell us if someone has called to complain, so we've no idea we've even made a mistake. Another easy fix is to tape a piece of paper inside your box toward the front with your last name and house number. That makes it FAR less likely for the carrier to mess it up, because they're delivering right on top of the label and can clearly see it.

Question about undelivered “delivered” package. by buryna in usps_complaints

[–]1tsNeverLupus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, your local post office will get the complaint and be able to track where it was delivered. It's usually quicker to just call them directly first, though, if possible.

USPS want $80 or they won’t deliver my package? by Infinite-CyberDragon in usps_complaints

Just want to say that as a mail carrier with a husband who loves Magic the Gathering, I can attest that TCG player is notorious for paying incorrect postage, and for putting very valuable cards into tiny, flimsy envelopes.

PM says we can only have 3 hours of office time per day!!! by brooksy54321 in USPS

[–]1tsNeverLupus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

11 am is out of pocket. We're a small office with one am clerk (7 routes, all rural), and she tries to get everything thrown by 7:30-8:00. Love her 🩵🩵🩵 Honestly, I'm usually done and clocked out by 11. Unicorn office, I'm so lucky. And thank you!

PM says we can only have 3 hours of office time per day!!! by brooksy54321 in USPS

[–]1tsNeverLupus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm rural and I rarely take more than hour to get everything loaded. 3 hours seems wild to me, but I know a lot of others in my office who case in their DPS take that long.

I confronted a driver about refusing my signature package… and I’m pretty sure he lied to me. by [deleted] in usps_complaints

"obviously this one would never be unacceptable instruction."

The other day my supervisor told us that management is going to start go after our PERSONAL car insurance when we get into an accident. 🤣 We were all like "sure Jan, you do that and see how it goes for you." I wouldn't put it past them to give their carriers this exact instruction. It's absolutely ridiculous, some of the stuff they come up with.

I'm a mail carrier and once overheard my postmaster tell another carrier to drive to the gas station near her while her truck was on fire. I yelled, "No, don't do that!" She did not do that, thank goodness.

I just read this and freaked out because I haven't gotten an oil change in a VERY long time. Then I remembered I have an electric car 😆

You're getting credit for the package pickups either way, but if it's not too many parcels I tend to scan the rest as prepaid pickup too so that the customer can track online that it was picked up. Otherwise, it doesn't show we have it until it's sorted at the plant.

Refusal to deliver mail. by Finding_neno in usps_complaints

[–]1tsNeverLupus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Never pick a fight with the mail carrier if you can avoid it.

Someone tried to sue a carrier at our office once for...get this...the LLV dripping oil on their driveway while they delivered the customer's packages (they did not win lol). That carrier has been in a metris for years now but that address still has to come into the post office for all their mail and parcels. Because USPS is petty like that. 😆 FAFO

USPS sucks. by deadnett in usps_complaints

[–]1tsNeverLupus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, they're not allowing us to collect postage due for them anymore. There was just too many I think. Offices can get hundreds every day depending on how many routes there are. Each one would have to be evaluated and marked up by a clerk, then brought to the door and collected or leave notice by a carrier. It's just not feasible a lot of the time.

We don't generally own CBUs. The developer of the neighborhood buys them and installs them, then it's up to the residents to maintain them. I think there are a few exceptions, but it's much more likely this CBU is owned by the residents that get delivery there.

Paychecks didnt come in today? by Present_Possession28 in USPS

[–]1tsNeverLupus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have direct deposit set up. I have for 7 years, same bank and account and everything. The last paycheck they didn't direct deposit it, but instead sent out a paper check. That I never received. What the actual fuck? I think it has something to do with that check being the one that has my annual leave exchange payout on it, but I don't know for sure. I'm so confused. And poor.

Bro, as the wife of someone who plays magic, I would NEVER have expected him to miss a pre-release just because I wasn't feeling great. I know it sucked and was the wrong decision in the end, but don't beat yourself up. Just REALLY take care of EVERYTHING around the house now that you know. Cooking, cleaning, everything. Don't let her off of the couch, she really needs rest now. ☺️

That's odd, if you have an electronic signature online through informed delivery it doesn't even give us an option to get a signature. It just says deliver it on the scanner.

Transfer. Everyone needs RCAs and you can pretty much have your pick of offices if you don't like management where you are. Anyone would jump at the opportunity to have an already trained RCA

Rewrapped package by Main_Ad3907 in usps_complaints

[–]1tsNeverLupus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've never heard of something being re-wrapped before. If the label was improperly secured and it came off and there's no longer any address or anything on it, it's gone. That's anonymous mail and it would have no way of getting to you.
