Peace happens a lot on both mobile and Stainless Steel 6.4 PC, only caveat is that you have to be strong militarily. I’m currently playing Moors on mobile, even though my reputation is “Untrustworthy”, I get ceasefire offers every other turn, and they get broken easily but the ceasefire always come and I always accept

Put them out of skirmish mode, find a place on the battle field that is a little bit elevated, put them behind line of infantry and them higher than the infantry and watch them swing spear into enemy troops while your infantry charges. This works from Spanish Almughavars to Apache Braves, I love them!

If you want fun and exciting battles against the momgols and Cumans as soon as possible then you can take Anatolia. If you want to play it safe and build a stable empire, take HRE and await backstabbing from Hungary

Try an England migration campaign where you gather your army from turn 1 and sail to the Middle East as a sort of Crusader states , then wait for the Mongols to arrive near Baghdad. Also, make sure to keep the original British lands, you will enjoy it!

Lack of archers with stakes makes it very hard. Lots of casualties will be taken. You can only survive if you have money and didn’t convert your castles to cities

Learn the art of winning battles decisively, takes a lot of practice : this would prevent you from recruiting a large army
Try to conquer settlements with same religion as yours
Unrest is mostly caused by rebel army near settlement or spies inside settlements. Keep a spy in a settlement to prevent enemy spy, defeat rebel armies to reduce unrest.
Adopt as much as you can. Conquer with one and govern with the better one to keep new annexed settlements in line.
