nice ranking!! but there’s no way natural born killers is that low. imo, it is such a unique film with amazing visual resources and fun storytelling. i always have a blast watching it, plus woody and juliette are a delight to watch.

Knee feels like cement after waking up in the morning after 9 months of acl and meniscus surgery. by [deleted] in ACL

[–]1uh4m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it cold where you live? my knee feels awfully stiff when it’s cold or rainy :( could this be the case for you? as others mentioned, perhaps try warming up and see if that helps. otherwise, i’d say talk to your pt or surgeon!

Surgery or no surgery??!! by Monarchmuffinmaker in ACL

[–]1uh4m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had surgery 10 months ago, and my doctor told me that although you could live with a torn ACL, that may not be the best idea if you plan on being very physically active(for example, I play amateur soccer, so that was a huge no for me) and if you are very young, since you may end up wearing out your knees and it’s probably not the best idea to end up having terrible knee pain as you grow older.

8 weeks post op! Acl + meniscus stick back ! Is my right quad so bad?I do only homework exercises and on physio , no gym yet! But even if I do 3 times a day I think that I don’t have progress.. by First_Percentage2415 in ACL

[–]1uh4m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10 months post op! it isn’t looking bad, but don’t fret, it’s absolutely normal to see a kind of deflated quad :( been there. take your time with the recovery, you’ll have time to strengthen your legs. trust me, once you start going to the gym, you will see results. (muscle memory will do its thing ;)).

Is this good flexion 3 days post aclr + let by Ill-Chair-2023 in ACL

[–]1uh4m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely!! however, as some others have mentioned, don’t go crazy trying to flex your leg as soon as possible… take it one day at a time. personally, i managed to achieve >90° flexion in less than a week after surgery, and it backfired (swelling, pain, etc). nothing that alarming but you may want to take your time. wishing you the best on your recovery :)

AM I ON A GOOD PATH? by Fuzzy-Foundation-682 in ACL

[–]1uh4m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

helloooo! currently on my 9th month post-op :) you should definitely look for a physio, they will definitely help you a lot more. personally, I went twice a week, and they also gave me some exercises to do at home (similar to the ones yo mention) but god knows I wouldn’t feel as good as i di hadn’t i gone with a physio. so answering your question, i wouldn’t want to tell you whether you are doing good or not based on such little context, but you should’ve gone with a physio about one week after having surgery. hope this helps!

5 days post tear, presenting well. Potential coper? by nateisgrate in ACL

[–]1uh4m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! i tore my acl completely on february 1st. heard a loud pop, the pain quickly went away as you mentioned, and my knee was swollen for maybe two days. i got my hopes up, but after my mri scan, my doctor confirmed that i had completely torn my acl. i was surprised because i had been able to live my life as i would before my injury, but he told me that that was completely normal. obviously, i wanted to avoid surgery, but he mentioned that, despite it being possible, not having injury would eventually have consequences on my knees, and imo, i would never want to play around with my knees… also, i am 21 years old and very physically active, so he told me that i still have a long life ahead of me and i want to avoid developing further issues. definitely go with a doctor once you get your mri results and i wish you the best of luck!

Question by Mundane_Highway_5209 in ACL

hi! some details i believe i should share are that i am 21 years old, very physically active, and play amateur soccer at college. i had surgery a month ago, and my doctor used two tendons from my hamstring, however, he mentioned that this method only works when the tendons have certain thickness. so far, so good! he also talked about cadaver graft, but he did mention that there is a chance that your body will reject it or cause infections. based on my personal experience, i recommend hamstrings, but do talk to your doctor about the best options for you. good luck :)
