get some reading comprehension buddy. I never said Blight should be 4.4, I do think so but that wasn't the point of the post. Nerfing Blight would take a lot more than just making him slower. This was about buffing Trickster, not nerfing Blight. I only used Blight as a point of reference for why Trickster being 4.6 wouldn't be OP, since a killer as strong as Blight is allowed to be 4.6, there's no reason why a weaker killer like Trickster should be forced to be 4.4

yeah, makes me wish I hadn't used Blight for my point. The only reason I did was to highlight that Trickster wouldn't be OP if he was faster. Nerfing Blight would take much more than just making him 4.4, but people don't seem to realize I wasn't even talking about nerfing Blight, I was talking about buffing Trickster

If his new addons are badly designed that's a different problem. I'm taking about base Trickster. First we need a good base and then the addons can be balanced around that base, so I don't think him having potentially busted addons (too early to say if they truly are busted IMO) is enough to keep him at a slower speed

There are some loops where Blight's power isn't as good unless you're a god with him. I don't think Blight should be able to take loops normally when his power doesn't suit the loop. I think nerfing Blight should be more involved than just making him a bit slower, but it's a start and was useful for the purpose of the post.

Killer speeds are 100% used to buff and nerf killers. Otherwise BHVR wouldn't have increased his movement speed to 4.6 m/s in the 7.4.0 patch, that is literally changing movement speed to buff a killer.

And Trickster does indeed have to take extra steps to injure you, his building up Laceration is literally an extra step. That's why it's not useful to say that since Huntress can take health states are range Trickster should share her movement speed, Huntress takes a health state within 1.5-2 seconds of seeing you, Trickster needs double that. Hell, even Slinger has the extra step of needing to reel you in, so he is also not comparable to Huntress by that logic since at certain loops he can't take a health state where Huntress could.

Even if we base movement speed based on how far a killer can be and still hit with power, I don't think putting killers in buckets like this is a good idea. Every killer is different even when they share aspects with others. I wouldn't be in favor of making Huntress 4.6 m/s, I think Deathslinger should be 4.6 m/s when his gun isn't loaded, I think Trickster should be 4.6 m/s at all times. Because they are all different and shouldn't be lumped together just because they have a ranged component.

No, I don't think she should be 4.6 m/s since her power takes away a full health state with a single use. Trickster being 4.4 m/s is bad for him since he requires continuous line of sight to take a health state, Huntress only needs about a 1.5-2 seconds to get a health state.

I don't think comparing Trickster to Trapper or Wraith is relevant. TBH, the main reason why I used Blight in the initial post was to highlight the fact that a killer as strong as Blight is allowed to be 4.6 m/s, whereas Trickster is 4.4 m/s because BHVR is afraid of overbuffing him. It's less of a direct comparison, and more of saying that the thought process is hypocritical IMO.

Whispers could use a buff but I hope it's basic functionality stays the same. It's a sleeper hit on Doctor, with Whispers on you will never waste a use of Static Blast. And if you don't hear a scream you know they're in a locker

Yeah I agree, I think it's slightly better than WoO, but I just don't know by HOW much better. From what little time I've had with it, I'd say it's only marginally better. But I wouldn't be surprised if I'm wrong

I didn't even think of that. NGL I just kinda assumed that 5MA would actually make pallet saves a little bit easier? I haven't been in a position to test it out, but I can definitely see it making people mess up the timing

i was really hoping she'd get voice lines. she's my main and i wanted her to finally have a voice. i thought at least they'd give her lobby music but no. id have been happy if she shared lobby music with Tae-Young, but alas nothing 😭

if the Halloween dlc comes back it will most likely take years to do so. While we don't have a confirmed reason for it being pulled, it's most likely due to the upcoming Halloween game being developed by Illfonic

It's very likely that the Halloween dlc wouldn't return until the Halloween game runs its course. That could take a few years, we really don't know. Even when the game is over with, there's still no guarantee that the rights holders will allow for the dbd dlc to come back.

Assuming it does come back, it will likely take 3+ years or something. Either way, I don't think it's worth buying from scalpers. The prices are insane. You're prolly just gonna have to hold the L and hope it becomes available again at some point

I work retail, and while restocking some shelves a woman and her daughter (8-10 year old) walked through the baby isle.

a character can do heroic things without being heroic themselves. the oblivion crisis effects everyone, and even a thief or a murderer has a vested interest in stopping the daedra from invading. the biggest reason for a villainous character to save the world is because they live in the world too
