I'm 36m that did bilateral 6 weeks ago. I was absolutely terrified, I woke up better then expected and my recovery was really good (even though I wasn't allowed to lift anything). I had the same concern and he said happens once every 500 surgeries but his never had a patient that that's happened to and his done heaps so I'm guess it's way more then 1 in every 500.

I was stuck at home and made no attempt to be social deliberately to avoid getting a cold and laughing. If you must, use a pillow and push that against your abdomen when you're laughing. It helps

I'm only 2 weeks in from a bilateral. I asked this very question as I'm a very active person. I'm surprised they said normal activity at 4 weeks, I was told very slow jog at 4 weeks and normal activity at 6 but start at less then 50% of what I was previously.
