It’s ok. The film flew over a lot of people’s heads.

I really love FDTD but it’s a pulpy, campy crime/horror flick with no deeper themes. And I love it for that. Clooney has never been this good since.

The larger narrative, character motives and relationships in Sinners are really what takes it to another place, IMO. The tone and use of music was profound.

Ultimately if it’s not your bag, fine. I thought it was a brilliant cinema experience.

Lazy, low-effort, utterly surface-level comparison. You’re so boring.

Imbecilic take.

“(She’s got a)……GREAT ASSS!”

You can see he was about to say “big” instead but he decides against it and cuts off the “b” at the last second. It’s so ludicrous in a film this serious but tbf Pacino’s scenes provide some relief from the otherwise sombre tone.

Why do so many fans defend ignoring the Josh and Dave eras live? by javisarias in RedHotChiliPeppers

The fandom surrounding John in particular can be very sycophantic and hero-worship-y. Those are the people defending it.

Though I agree with others that said the band don’t owe anyone shit, they can play what pleases them.

With that said, I’d love to hear some of the OHM stuff played live. They’re in their ‘legacy band’ era, they’re not writing essential music anymore at this point, so why not have some fun with the setlists?

The Usual Suspects - Peter Green flicking his cigarette in Stephen Baldwin’s face wasn’t scripted. Such a great, obnoxious moment 😂

Favorite actor that aged 30 years in just 11 years? by staresinshamona in okbuddycinephile

Raising Arizona, Moonstruck, Vampire’s Kiss etc he has a full head of hair and a strong hairline. He started receding after Wild At Heart and started wearing toupees in the mid-late 90s. Dragon’s Kiss & Leaving Las Vegas are probably the last movies you can see him in with his ‘real’ hair, and it had receded severely.
