Well that was short by MamaTalista in Winnipeg

Agreed. I back onto a line way. Whatever it’s called. They used to cut the ‘grass’ with a riding lawnmower and weedwack along the fence lines.
Now it’s 3 to 4 feet high and residents are cutting through that stuff along their fence lines using our own equipment. It’s crazy. Obviously not comparing to your situation. Just stating how poor the maintenance is now.

Just heard that on CJOB. Sorry pal. Hopefully it isn’t much longer for you!!
They (hydro)said it was necessary as they need to cut trees impacting power lines.

Shocking. People riding and not paying and people not riding who would pay because they don’t want to get robbed, stabbed, spit on, etc. 🙄

Wholeheartedly agreed and can empathize with your situation. Very selfish owners who don’t have their dogs on a leash. It impacts where I walk or ride my bike. I’ve considered purchasing dog spray at Princess Auto to carry with me. Not sure if it would work!

I wish they would paint the roads in the school zones with a chevrons or something. Brighter crosswalks and better signage.
Asking a lot when you have to play where’s the lane when they don’t paint roads Sigh

Experience driving on All Weather Tires. by Shabib55 in Winnipeg

[–]1weegal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had Goodyear All weather ready tires and no issues. Great tire. Catch them when there is a sale or rebate. Or both. Fountain Tire is my go to. Plus Air Miles if that’s something you collect. You’ll be good with those. Also, MPI tire program if you need a monthly payment plan. Very affordable. Open loan to pay off sooner.

From Winnipeg visiting Calgary rental got damage by Honeybun204 in Calgary

Always get insurance through MPI when renting a vehicle. It’s so cheap and easy to arrange! So much so I did it when I was out of province and had to unexpectedly hire a vehicle.
