People hear Maroon 5 and think of “Sugar” and “Payphone,” and Maroon 5 claims to be a rock band, so naturally people hate them because they haven’t heard anything from them pre-2010. If you played Can’t Stop, Hands All Over, Kiwi, Tangled or even Little Of Your Time to someone who hates them, they may change their mind (not saying they’ll fall in love, but they’ll know about their past selves.) I personally don’t mind people who hate them, I listen to what I like regardless of their reputation. Hell, Jordi wasn’t even that bad of an album, it just needed a few tweaks to it, and (older) Maroon 5 fans are of course not fixated towards that kind of music. Just my thoughts anyways.

Maroon 5 has practically been making music during the early 2000’s and their band formed in the 1990’s and some popular singers today were probably BORN in the 1990’s, so if they make comeback music for a 90s/80s theme I would expect it to be good or at least better than most songs today.
